Galaxy map and system map issues

I couldn't find any info about these 2 issues so I'm wondering if anyone else is having them:

1. Galaxy map
User data filter is not working. No matter which filter I choose in that menu all I am getting are grey stars. No systems filtered for IF or black market or any other option.

2. System map
When trying to target a planetary spaceport I am only getting a navigation point to the main star. In a system with dozens of planets it's almost impossible to find the needed spaceport.

Anyone else has these issues? Are there any workarounds?

Service filters only work within 40 LY of a system you've visited this session and only for systems you've personally previously visited - even within that constraint is it still unexpectedly grey?

Known new issue from the patch notes - best workaround I can think of is if it's a mission destination then it should be highlighted blue on the left panel once you reach the system.

1. I might be a bit slow but did the filters always work only during the one session? I thought they were saved and as long as I visited the system previously they would be filtered correctly (within the 40 ly range of course).
I am pretty sure I used to filter systems for IF across several sessions.

2. Thanks, good to know. I am looking for IF to pay off my bounty and none of the stations/ports have IF on them. So I tried looking at spaceports but I just can’t navigate to them from system map - can’t even check if they actually have IF or not. I hope it gets fixed soon.

The data on which systems you've visited should be saved cross-session - but only gets loaded if you're within 40 LY of the system during the session.

The only case in which a port in a system would have IF when the main ones didn't is if the port was anarchy government.

Easiest way to find IFs in new systems is probably to use the security level map filter - any Low Security system will have them (or Anarchy government, but that's pretty rare while Low Security systems are common)

Hi All :)

I'm also (after the recent update 15) having some minor issues with the Galaxy Map.
When I select a System and then go to Bookmark it using the right hand side menu (Add to Bookmarks), instead of displaying / producing the Full Bookmark Icon it creates a sub Location Icon, (Bookmarked Children).
I've tried looking in the Manage Bookmarks (left hand side Galaxy Map Menu) for information and settings, but I can't see anything there to change this.

Am I missing something here?...I'm aware that there's been some changes to the Galaxy Map UI in patch 15, but I'm unable to see any reference to this particular issue (If it is actually an issue?).

Jack :)

Funny, a relog fixed this. I didn't move from my position and now I can see the filtered systems.
But the filter is reset every time I close the GalMap (now that I think about it that could have been the root cause of my issue).

Thanks for the help.

The POI settlement list shows the planetary body where each one is located, you can zoom in on the planet for the desired settlement plot to it that way.

That is what I was doing to set my Apex destinations. Was pretty sure it'd be the same on the sysmap but wasn't going to fire up the game just to check for the people on this thread. (Yeah, you don't deserve it.:p)

For now, until they fix this, I'm using the points of interest EDO settlements list to locate the target by reading the actual planet name (you can see this if you're not mousing over the one you want to go to). It's slow but easier than checking every planet one by one :)

Right, I can search for a spaceport that way, that's a good workaround. Unfortunately, the system map doesn't give me the list of facilities for planetary ports and settlements anymore.

I was specifically trying to find IF in a system. Once I got the filter working I found a system with IF - but none of the orbital stations had it so I assumed it was one of the spaceports. But there is no telling which one as the list of facilities doesn't show for a spaceport.

Galaxy Map broke. I concur. Too many issues to mention at this time. They have the correct code somewhere, right. Also when approaching a scanned plant while in Analysis Display mode, do you see the behavior different?

Then have fun searching for a suitable issue in the issue tracker or creating a new message.
Another one that is not taken into account...

1. Galaxy Map: Can't scroll the pop-up menu that shows a list of your ships by using the controller. I have to use mousewheel to scroll the list.

2. System Map: Can't scroll the pop-up menu that shows details of a faction (with the new graph and stuff) by using the controller. I have to use mousewheel to scroll the list.

There's probably more new/revamped menus with the same behavior that I haven't found or tried to interact with yet.

There's already a ticket open for 1, the fleet list scrolling misbehaving, Sally picked it up on patch day.

Hadn't come across 2 before.
