Galaxy Map Reputation Filter

I understand that trying to maintain a persistent list of faction reputation with would be computationally expensive, and most probably unmanageable.

Could we not perhaps have a search filter in the Galaxy map that would filter systems based on faction reputation?

So, in the galaxy map where we have filter by Star Class/Economy/State etc, add a new one for Reputation. Reputation would have checkboxes/radio buttons of Friendly/Unfriendly/Hostile/Allied etc. I will assume you can only retrieve controlling faction information from the Galaxy map, so it would only show the reputation with the controlling faction. If I'm wrong, it would ideally show systems where any of the factions in those systems have the selected status. To see the whole picture of all factions in that system, you'd still need to look at the system map in question.

Why? Mostly selfish reasons. I forget to bookmark/write down systems I've worked up reputation on. I sometimes find myself a long way from those systems wanting to do some missions (but not for 'neutral' peanuts or restart working rep), know there's one or two allied factions close by but can't remember where. I'd also like a quick way to see which allied factions are in more than one system where we can create our own mini allied bubbles.

Seconded. I really did wish for this feature several times in my Elite Dangerous career - becouse I am not a good bookkeeper too :D

Not to long ago I was asking if it would be possible to get our reputation with minor factions put into the commanders log so it could be tracked by us players with the 3rd party tools available. Being able to see that on the galaxy map, and then in more detail on the system map, would be great but maybe just giving us the information directly would be easier.

Both would be the best [up]

Yeah we really could do with some means to find our effected factions, currently having to click all over the map hunting for them is a bit silly. Space is big.

in fact I suggested that also a long time ago now.

but I'm not sure it's really a good idea as well, a good idea to make more credit that's for sure but maybe not to invite players to browse a few other areas.

Until then I am doing missions around the main systems of powerplay, it's about where my friend factions are, it is possible with this additional filter that I am more inclined to target the factions accurately in more remote locations or find somebody with whom I worked a long time ago yes.

in any case it will certainly incite us to play always for the same factions.. is it a good thing or not i do not know.
