Is it just me or you can you not filter the Galaxy Map by both say a Federation system AND in a particular State? Seems you can only filter by one or the other. If I pick both, I get ALL systems with the last thing I picked. Pick Federation system, get only Federation systems, but then further filter to a State of "Boom", get ALL systems in Boom of any Power. Kind of frustrating but maybe I am not getting something...

Unfortunately, you aren't "missing anything". The galaxy map filters do not "stack". So no, you can't filter across categories. So if you want to find a system controlled by a Federation-aligned Anarchy, you've got to click on "Alignment, select "Federation" and click on highlighted systems one by one until you find an anarchy (assuming one exists). Or click on "Anarchy" government and click one by one, looking for Federation ones. Either way, there's lots of clicking. Unless you're really good at those "hidden picture" memory games, and can flick rapidly between the two filters, looking for stars that light up with both filters selected.
Or use a third-party tool, as Orange said. The third-party-tools usually have filters that are stackable, so getting a total count of systems controlled by Federation Anarchies is a breeze.

Thanks! Thought I was going stupid there. Crazy you can't stack filters. Show me all Fed Systems in Bust or whatever... seems like a simple and useful feature. Anyway, thanks for confirming that!
