I like thinking that when I look at Saturn (or anything) through a telescope, the light that is touching my eye has literally touched Saturn and bounced off, making the trip through the solar system to physically touch me.
That is an interesting perspective

I have often thought like this as well. It adds a sense of awe and connectedness to things, I find.
I'm a student in a biology-heavy field, and I also find the chain of energy transfer from the sun, though the plants, through glucose and onwards all the way down to my fingers moving on this keyboard to me is an amazing thing
And dont get me started in geology... geologists tell the best stories

Or maybe cosmologists... hmmm
