Galnet audio no longer a feature in odyssey?

I reckon it's a cost cutting measure. Galnet is one of those things that while useful (especailly in light of the fact that player driven events are not really a thing, or even discouraged), isn't really all that popular - until it's no longer there. Presumably they paid a voice actor to do this, so removing this has decreased their costs there substantially.

Its not voice acted, the use the Text to Speech, I believe it was the Ivona Amy TTS voice they used.

It has happened a few times before just after an update, hopefully its something they will bring back as I would rather be flying my ship and have the audio tell me the news than having to stop and read it.

Any news on this? I hope it gets fixed soon, I basically only know about Galnet updates via audio in-game.

I guess you're the only one that was using them.

It would be a shame to lose it though. The only reason I don't listen to them very often is that I completely forget about Galnet!

I like GalNet audio.
