GALNET - AZIMUTH CONDUCTS AX WEAPONS RESEARCH - 03 JAN 3309 (May not be Xmass filler news like the rest....)

Just buy the enhanced AX weapons at the rescue ships. What are you talking about?
They do not count as part of the 4 ax limit. They were originally part of a CG. They are are in size 1 and 2. It is possible to use them on a ax build, but you have to synth the ax ammo. Which is wiped out upon refilling at a station and there is no indication of the current ammo loadout. Check on the wiki for further information. There is also one video of a T10 using them to solo an I interceptor.

You are talking about the enhanced multicannons from many years ago. What everyone else is talking about is the enhanced AX multicannons that were recently released.

The AX weapon limit is about to be lifted (for whatever reason). Check the GalNet.

I know about the galnet article . They are called advanced and not enhanced. It has been possible to use these to overcome the enforced limit. I am requesting that they be fixed at this time where ax weaponry is under scrutiny. It would give a wider sweep of choices.

The main issue with them is that you have to always synth the ammo. The fact that, unlike ax enhanced you can modify them for increased ammo as well. Eg for advanced missiles you can increase the number carried even for a small hard point to 130 ish, then synth ax makes them very useful compared with normal human ax missiles.

My original request was show if the advanced weapons are firing ax and enable you to restock as ax at a station.

That's unreasonable and overpowered, and considering the recent changes and the upcoming changes to AX warfare, plainly too much to ask for.

Huh! For an item that's been in the game for over 2 years. Asking for what it already does? How can it be overpowered? Especially asking for the loadout of the weapon to be displayed. I suggest you look up its ax synth requirements. Its already in use as well for 2 years!

Nonono, my "allmodesareequal" rights are violated by that. 🤭

Bigger and better guns are more useful for fighting a war than not having them isn't.
Somehow I don't see the end of the war coming because we outgunned the ancient aliens from an unfathomable eldritch dimension, though. Works fine if the goal is just to fight the war though, rather than end it.

If the Guardians are anything to go by, the weapon big enough to destroy the Thargoids is not going to stop with just them.

Still going to have to target that heart and right now scanner tech is still slap-together from 5+ years ago
You don’t need the scanner for that. Trust yourself.

Pick an interceptor you can handle, using the scanner. Shoot gauss at it until it glows. Put the red glowing leaf in your gunsight. Fire the gauss. Repeat.

Caustic? Fly away. Silent running. Boost. Fire the gauss. Repeat until no caustic.

Same for mixed builds - no need. Put the scout in the gunsight. Fire the gauss. Repeat. Avoid the caustic by reading the % on the scanner. Did you miss? Try again.

There are things that help. Long range thermal vent beam; turret, gimbal or fixed, your choice. Start with gimbal.

When I started, I used 2x AXMC, 2x guardian gauss. I changed it to 4x guardian gauss, because it’s better once you’re practiced at gauss. More gauss is best. Skill is best.
