GALNET - DISTANT THARGOID ENCOUNTER RAISES QUESTIONS - 14 AUG 3309

There is nothing behind the doors. One of them isn't placed properly and you can walk/clip into it on foot. Its just an empty space.
If you walk right up to the door with your light turned on and angle it correctly, you can actually see a little bit between the cracks that looks like another wall with more etching on it. One does not put a door there without having something behind it. We just haven't been given the location of the key that might go into that triangle in the door that LOOKS like the place you drop a guardian relic in. Of course, you can't because you can't lift it up to the door and the SRV can't climb the vertical wall to drop it in anyway.

Not yet, anyway. Frontier modeled a space for the lock to retract out of the way, so it should be possible to open the door at some point.

Also I apparently had some followers that caught up to me waiting on my ship to recall. Thought maybe something interesting was happening when I got the "Incoming Missile" alert, but nope, just these persistent buggers.

Nice! And now I'm thinking "can we kite sentinels?", 'cos if we can then I want to drag a load of 'em all the way to the Thargoid crash site.

I realize the sequence of events was rather vague in my last post, so just to clarify the details;
-I landed near the "middle finger" of the "sticky hand" ruins site
-I drove my SRV into the "palm" of the hand, and disembarked to dispatch 2 Sentinels that spawned with my rocket launcher(for science of course)
-Got back in my SRV and drove to the beginning of the road-like structure I planned to use as a starting line for my journey
-Panic as six more Sentinels spawn I wasn't expecting, haul *** down the road, launch off the Altar, and start skiing down the slope
-"They're shooting my ship now, crap", Dismiss ship
-Drive 38.7km to the Thargoid Crash Site
-Arrive at Crash Site, take a smoke break, come back, recall ship
-Sentinel missiles start appearing from over the mountain, hop in my ship and fly 1.5km towards the direction the missiles are coming from
-Encounter SIX very persistent Sentinels, very far from their home

I'm not sure if I "kited" them, as in they were slowly following my SRV the whole time, or if they somehow spawned when I recalled my ship, since I dismissed my ship right after ramping off the Altar at the edge of the ruins while they were still shooting at me earlier.

But those Sentinels were at the Thargoid Crash Site 38.7km from the nearest Guardian ruins.

They also followed my ship up 2km high, out of mass lock of the planet, which seems quite high for something I didn't think could do more than "hover".
Also, I did this in Solo Mode as this was the day the GalNet came out, every ganker and their brother was out there harassing explorers, didn't feel like dealing with that.

Some talk of non-hostile scouts that run away - not sure how much I trust that report though - now where is my AX ship? 🤔

Edit: Well, interceptors are being very peaceful, now I need some scouts
Edit2: Scouts angry as ever - looks like classic Pleiades behaviour to me

was looking for more systems with nhss. I only found 3 systems so far.
the systems that i've found NHSS's in were:

Wregoe BU-Y b2-0-
Wregoe EZ-A d35.94
Wregoe EZ-A d109.21
Wregoe ME-A c1-011.89
Wregoe DP-Y b2-013.33
Wregoe ME-A c1-114.54
Wregoe IF-Z d1215.58
Wregoe AU-Y b2-019.30
Wregoe CP-Y b2-021.11
Wregoe IF-Z d1121.66
Wregoe GA-X b3-024.82
Wregoe EP-Y b2-025.14
Wregoe OP-Y c1-026.69
Wregoe IV-W b3-029.01

all of which are inside a 30 Ly bubble centred on Wregoe BU-Y b2-0, the few systems outside of that which i had checked didn't have any NHSS at all (31 - 32 ly's away from centre)
Edit: added distance to centre / Wregoe BU-Y b2-0

If there's NPCs it would be interesting to see what they're carrying.
the only NPC's ships i've seen so far were stranded Cobra's in Threat 4's, but i didn't feel like messing with scout's in my paper Krait just to see if they were carrying anything

I've been in (and around) Wregoe BU-Y B2-O 1 C for last 3 days, for the Guardian Ruins and Crashed Ships and always carrying 1 Occupied Escape Pod and AXMC's in case, and not been inter/hyperdicted once. So all clear here (for now, well, at least 2 weeks due to FDev leave/no CG's).
about 1400LY from war/rescue ships

It is still believable that it was never discovered all along, even if Frontier only added it on Thursday(and they usually do with this type of thing). From what I can tell, the planet/system had already been discovered once, but at the very least the body with the crash sites and ruins was never mapped. The mapped tag shows the person that - to my knowledge - reported their presence first.

And as it’s a fairly uninteresting ice rock that most would quickly pass on without looking more closely… it actually seems quite plausible as such a location.
This makes absolutely no sense lol. If the planet was mapped and tagged and the site didn't exist in Legacy when the planet was also mapped and tagged then this could not possibly have been in all along

So the NHSS are the typical non-war scenarios, human ships that have been destroyed with obvious signs of caustic/thargoid damage... and we're expected to believe these goids are peaceful/non-aggressive?

Maybe the human ships were carrying items pilfered from the battleground site, and maybe the 'goids are trying to prevent these items from "escaping"?
In case a genocidal maniac has turned himself into an Orb, Tablet, Totem, Relic, or more fittingly Urn or Casket.

When have you been able to scan Thargoid FSD wakes? because I was able to just now in the system.

Sounds like an emergency copy-paste after they realised that there weren't any goids at all. It would be really nice to just be able to assume that ingame stuff was intentional and not have to second-guess everything, but I think we have to go with the GalNet on this one.

Plus, "peaceful/non-aggressive" is very different to "strict pacifist even in the face of being shot at or having their stuff stolen" which given our prior interactions, I will be assuming those wrecks were the result of that and not people on GalNet being blind.

Logs found at the weapon blueprint structure: #7, 11, 17, 22, 25.
Logs found at the vessel blueprint structure: #1, 12, 19.

Also Ram Tah is a damn liar, you need a sensor and cyclops sample for log #1:

Always, there's even a codex stat for it.
