So Kaine is from Tionisla that is interesting. She might have some rather powerful backing.
Tionisla is the historic home of the family that leads the Dark Wheel (The Ryders being from Tionisla is mentioned in 'and here the wheel' ), and the Dark Wheel at one point (in the 1984 elite era) being based in Tionisla (luko mentions this in premonition or reclamation as a point of historical fact if memory servers.)
There may be more to this election than power play tweaks, and i can't wait to see where it leads if anywhere. (I may be overly enthusiastic, but one can hope at least given the Elite 1984 reference, and the choice to use a very important system in lore)
