Game constantly crashing with black screen

Hello everyone. I have comed back to the game for the new expansion. I have been playing for 2 weeks now and i have a serious problem with my game.
It crashes randomly with a black screen. I mean, it goes blackscreen and then i can hear the game but i cant open it from the taskbar, its like transparet. The rare thing is that it happens more oftenly in Open play than Solo. I dont know why... Also, i think it have more probability to happen when i do alt+tab.

What do you think may be the problem and its solution?

I have a GTX 970, i7 7700k, 16gb ram.... idk... also I have 2 screens, even tho i only play in the bigger one at 1920*1080p at 60hz and full-screen borderless

try a 50hz core downclock using msi afterburner as it sounds like a tdr issue...……………..
also try unplugging other screen whilst fault diagnosing to rule it out ie set gpu output to single disp
(also a 970 is a rather low range card for running two displays whilst such a gpu demanding game is run)

I just made an overclock to my graphic card to see if i neede more power. Ok ill try what you said when the game is back. Do you mean hz or Mhz? as in msi afterburner i can only downclock and overclock in Mhz. Also, are you talking about core clock or memory clock? Thanks.

and your right the card needs more power but not in the MHz department but in the sterling dept
odyssey will struggle on a minimum card spec (when fd say min they really mean it!)

I've been having the same issues since last Saturday, I've ruled out the colour HUD mod, gpu overclock, cpu overclock, conflicts with various other software running in the background like steam, razor apps etc. It is way more likely to happen in open in a busy system especially the az cz's. My screen doesn't go completely black it's like I've put on welding goggles as I can just about make out the screen. Its fractionally more visible at the very edges. sound still works but hitting the escape key to bring up the in game menu doesn't work. After a few seconds it completely crashes and I have to kill it via task manager.

More demanding games work fine.

5600x, 3060Ti, 16GB Ram, EDH running of an SSD, Win10 on a nvme drive. temps are fine 50C/70C (cpu/gpu)

I've had the same problem with my old GTX 970 (due to an upgrade for Odyssey) I fixed this issue by downloading EVGA precision X1 on steam and downgrading the GPU clock -100 or -50MHZ and apply. After this, the game runs without any black screen on my end! FFdev should look into this matter imo!
