Game failed to communicate with authentication server

Just got home after a week on the raid to be greeted with this message.
Was anxious to try a new load out and can't get past the launcher screen.
Have checked my connection to internet and Xbox live, what the hell?

Try hard restarting your xbox to clear the cache could just be its stored some data from you last login that's stalled it

As I said, connection to internet and Xbox live is fine but I'll give it a go, stand by....
