Game is confusing

I am quite impatient.I'll admit that.

This is my first "space sim".

I play a variety of game of diff genres ...not alot of them kept me entertained for more than 2 weeks.

Then I dont think this will be the game for you, Im afraid to say, try DCS A10, you'll do just fine there :)

This isn't a game for instant gratification. To really get anywhere in it you'll have to spend a fair amount of time learning how to play, how to fly, fight, trade, etc.,

Then you'll start to see the universe open up in front of you. It really is one of those games that the more you put in, the more you get out :)

I've had loads of responses from support.

Submitted 14 tickets, 2 issues resolved, 5 under investigation
the rest (minor issues) pending

Plus the devs pop up every now and again and comment.

However they do respond better if you don't act like an ****.

How true.

Really Ive found their customer service impeccable. Maybe its just you.
Personally I cant imagine anyone wanting a refund for such an exquisite game but Im sure you have your reasons...well im gonna get back to my skipping now, weee..much LUV OO

It's true what they say, 'You get out what you put in'

If he stopped being so Tox_ic perhaps things might seem different.

* joins AXIS skipping * :)

Everyone gets a little frustrated during the learning curve but ED is well worth it and the depth and dynamics you learn will remind you how unique this game is and how talented FD Devs are.....yes Im biast !!GO ED!! :D

There's no ingame tutorial what so ever

Been flying around in space jumping from Eradin to some other system trying to find things to shoot...not much luck...

currently stuck in super cruise no idea how to get out of it....

not a very good fist impression...

game missions don't even tell you where to go...

Damn these early access beta games not being finished and having everything in! Damn them all!....

I mean you do what I did and most likely everyone else and look on Youtube at videos of people doing what you are wanting to do, you know, just a thought...

This is not your warm fuzzy beta off steam green light or a mine craft.
You chose to pay for the privilege of beta testing this game and to help make it a great one.

And you will need to put work into this to become an effective tester that can report faults and make suggestions.
So....
Here's the keys to your sidewinder, throttle makes it go, stick makes it turn, be out of the station in plenty of time or you're scrap.
Need anything else, read and watch what other pilots are doing.

hummm.. appears I might have had a post deleted.

I assume it was the last bit, for which I apologise.

Keep up the good work mods!

I don't find the game "confusing" although there is a learning curve especially when it comes to the controls of the ship. But this learning curve and complexity is not more than for, say, a flight simulator or a rather involved RPG. (In fact, flying a plane from A to B in FSX or X-Plane and landing successfully would be far more difficult than it is here to get from one system to another).

I think the learning curve required to get started with the game is "just right".

A tutorial at this point doesn't make a lot of sense. It's a BETA in development. We are testing a game and whatever this implies, eg having to learn the game incl. the quirks. If you want a tutorial, manual etc. you should wait for release.

This, fortunately, is not a game that you buy and in two days you are as effective as it can get, be it as a trader or pirate or whatever. In the same way as you ALSO cannot sign-up as a newbie to a game like WoW and expect being a master at your class in two days. Then, the game is also NOT that complex that achieving things relatively early would be impossible. In fact, it is actually really simple as soon as you understand how to fly a ship.
