I've posted previously about the bugs since the Marine Pack DLC. And I'm aware Frontier have responded. It just seems crazy that they are still advertising and encouraging people to buy the DLC before it is fixed. Maybe the issues are not happening for everyone. But in its current state, I'd go as far as saying the game is unplayable. It's fine if you don't want to use the lagoon viewing domes or have a mosa in your park. But surely that's why we purchased the marine pack.

And it still hasn't fixed all the other issues like countless species dying of thirst or hunger in fully suitable enclosures. And the fact that none of the dinosaurs herd together properly. Many species are 'lonely' because they are just not together.

As much as I love the game, I think it's dead until everything gets fixed.

The bugs will be fixed in a small update in the short run.

Though the game is generally functional, there is this element that has been neglected for months and its needs work. Because of the negligence, the Jurassic difficulty Germany challenge mode is not playable.

Dinosaur Cohabitation Amendments for Future Major Updates

Dinosaur cohabitation Parasaurolophus and Maiasaura are now friendly to each other Pyroraptor now dislikes Scorpios Rex and Indominus Rex Australovenator now dislikes Scorpios Rex Since Update 5, there have not been any changes in dinosaur cohabitation. Honestly, it still needs work. why...

I have to agree, I've tried and tried and tried on multiple sandbox games, it's not playable once your park reach a certain size the glitches dominate, about 99% of them are coming from the lagoon I believe....I cannot load any saves especially once I save and there's been a gltch present or I add a Monorail. It will try and load the game for about 2 minutes than it just closes and you get a warning crashed report bug window that opens. Really sad state. Hopefully help is coming soon.

I hope so. Whatever they did keeps making my game crash. Uninstalling then reinstalling SEEMS to have fixed it...but we'll see how long that lasts.

certain size ? You mean a full 100% of species, number of buildings/people ?

I will usually start crashing/unable to load at around 5-6000 guests, or maybe even less and after I save/load a game where I just started building a monorail. But that damn lagoon/platform/shark feeder/krono freezing bug is really annoying also......

When you guys talk about crashing, do you mean you load your last save and it won't load, than you crash?

That's what I get, will have to reinstall the game also. Good idea.

My primary concern lies on the dinosaur cohabitation element. If there is no effort in improving such element, it will be difficult to accommodate new species.

No. It will load just fine, but after a while, it will crash. Reinstalling it SEEMS to have worked, but we'll see how long that lasts. Haven't tried a shark feeder or underwater lagoon domes, though. I'm a little wary.

I tried putting a lagoon and a mosa with a shark feeder....and it crashed. So, when I got back into the game, I replaced the Mosa with a Tylo and it seems to be fine. Now, it's back to crashing when I exit the game. I can deal with that. It's a shame, though. I loved the Mosa.

That's great news! Hopefully the shark feeder bug was fixed, and possibly the unable to load big square maps bug also. Will try and load one of these saved maps I was unable to load and see what happens.Thanks!

Nope. I knew my luck wouldn't hold out. The game just randomly crashed again. Without a Mosa and shark feeder. I'm done. I'm going back to the first game. Yeah, it doesn't have as detailed textures or the same dinos, for the most part, but at least (as far as I recall) doesn't crash for no reason.

yeah ? Because those were the only problems that I had with the game. I'll update the game later tonight and see if it crashes. I REALLY hope that and the shark feeder is fixed.

Semi-unplayable.
Bought this game a month or so ago for the kids’ (and my) summer holiday, including all the dlc stuff (except, for now, Malta). Have sunk maybe 80 hrs into it, mostly building two big sandboxes being ‘directed’ by the little ‘uns. Great fun, great game. Or so we thought. Got frozen out of both sandboxes this week, can no longer load them, loading cursor spins, then we get the controller ‘thump’, and immediately the spinning stops and seconds later we’re chucked out of the game (the whole game, back to the PS 5 home screen). Diabolical imho. The main story is fine, midway through the Biosyn bit so about 75% completed, but the big sandboxes are what excited the kids. Went online to investigate and found this site and from the gist of things here it seems to be a well-known problem.
What I’d like to know is, 1 have the devs acknowledged it? 2 have they said they’re working on a remedy? 3 if they are aware, why no temporary in-game warning to at least warn newbies like me (still buying the game in good faith) to avoid the biggest sandboxes/lagoons/whatever the hell it is causing the loading problem?
80 hrs, and it’s mostly all gone. Am keeping the saves in the hope an update solves things, as it really is a wonderful game in essence - fun, creative and educational. But it’s really bad form to let people go on buying and playing and wasting time and effort on a game with a known flaw.

The game is still borked. I updated the game because it was said the underwater domes had been fixed. Well....nope. The second I laid down a dome, the game crashed. I updated my PS4 firmware and started the game.....crashed again. I started a whole new game to see if it will crash again. I'm not hopeful.
I am seriously considering going back to the first game. It doesn't have all the cool features of the second game, but at least it doesn't crash on me at random.
