Man, it's teeny! No wonder the printer kept wanting the tolerances changed. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be able to order my flying saucer with moving parts, and we'll see what that looks like as well.
Yeah, an 'official' miniature/model would be good, but I'm loving the customness of these little cobras, I've got four (2 small, 2 big) so I'm just deciding how to paint em up...
Also, having to restrain myself from spending hideous amounts of cash on shapeways- some of the things people have uploaded are quite remarkable- mini-spaceships galore!
I'll keep an eye on your shop kenny, in case you upload anything else *cough* completerangeofeliteminiatures *cough*
I have already built a few classic elite ships, making them Shapeways models is not a problem. I think I already built the Viper, Krait, Python and Sidewinder, it doesn't take long at all. I'm off work for a week though, so I cant convert and upload them until next week.
Ha! Nice one! I was only semi-serious, but if it's relatively easy for you to do, I'd definitely be interested in some in the smaller sizes. An Asp explorer would be pretty awesome...
My better half might not be so enthusiastic though! (I'm sure if I tell her carefully she'll understand... "more tiny spaceships?"
I got called in to work this afternoon, despite supposedly being on holiday for a week. It allowed me to stick the models on a memory stick and bring them home, so I'll upload them over the next couple of days.
You can keep your little ones, I'm saving up and buying the big versions! I'm buying waterslide decal printer paper for a DIY guitar project, so I want to use some of it to make decals for the models I get 3D-printed.
