General / Off-Topic Game of Thrones - Season 8 (Potential spoilers inside)

Haven't seen a more spectacular Heel Turn then when Hulk Hogan joined the nWo at WCW's Bash at the Beach in 1996...and I don't even watch Wrestling. 😂

HBO are talking about starting some spin off shows... But without George R R Martin writing deep labyrinthian plots and characters, we are just left with tweedle dee and tweedle dum who wrote seasons 7 and 8.

The Spin off's will be terrible.
Just like the Star Wars cartoons. And SWOTR being sacrfied at the altar of monetary avarice for Exceptional A****hats to cannibalize at their leisure

The Homo Sapiens species is doomed to extinction. We never learn from our mistakes.

RIP Cersei and Jaime. What a disappointing ending for them.

While the plot is all over the place and the character development not actually occurring on screen (or at all), my biggest complaints of this season mostly have to with the abandonment of the pretense that there are any laws of physics in this world.

Every time a dragon breathes flame, it's like a tactical nuke hit a building. The flames can't be hot enough to be instantly exploding stone or mortar and the force of whatever the hell the gout of fuel is shouldn't be knocking over fortifications without so much as a hint of recoil. And where the hell is all this flammable bile or saliva or venom or whatever coming from anyway? I haven't seen such mysterious quantities of fluid outside of bad or great horror-comedy.

I think it's quite clever really. Given that we only have 1 more episode to go, if you kill off all the main characters at least you won't have to pay them redundancy money.

[Spoilers]I don't know... Season 7 was so frickin awesome and they built up a sensational climax towards the ending of s7. S8E3 was a little...all over the place. And much of it didn't make sense. Why was Arya the one that killed the Night King? Should've been Jon. And Bran... What part does he even play in this?
It all felt too messy.
Same with E5. It took Dani one dragon to completely decimate the entire city. Why didn't she do that in S7 then? Or E4?

Much of S8 feels like a rushed ending just because it HAS to end. Everything feels forced.
[/spoilers]
Still love it though.

Sad it's all ended so fast.
Night King -1 episode. Cersei - 1 Episode. And lots of filler episodes in between.
Now i dont care who sits on the throne, all the cool character are dead. And Jon is just a hollow of what his character was during Night Watch times.

Looking forward to the books, now i really want to know the true ending.
You mean the molten iron blob in the rubble at the end of the remains of what was once the throne room?
