That's pretty cool. Instead of doing nothing while waiting for FDEV to fix the game, we apparantly found a workaround for the issue by fiddling around with our computers. And we can even support FDEV by telling them what's causing the issue. I'd say that's one point for troubleshooting and zero points for being snarky whenever someone suggests to take a closer look at the computer.I turned off IPv6, and then visited the CG and experienced no zig-zag or rubber-banding. Obviously this is not a big enough of a sample, so I'll need to try a few more times to verify it's not just coincidence.
Strange that, since I never had a problem before the update, nor does my router or ISP support IPv6. Perhaps the new update doesn't play well with IPv6, which would still make it Frontier's fault, na na na na na. That said, I don't like having IPv6 on anyway, since I have no use for it and it just steals bandwidth.
Oh, I need to be more precise - I turned off EVERYTHING except IPv4 on my network adapter. I don't need QoS or Print Services or any of this rubbish.
What did you say, I can't hear you over all the snark! Funny thing is, if I HAD blocked you (some days I'm tempted), we who remain still would have solved this problem without youThat's pretty cool. See, this is why I don't block you - humor covers a multitude of sinIprobablymost definetely would've suggested the same solution if I wasn't occupied with arguing against you!
Only when we agree (which surprisingly actually happens on occasion).I'm always right about everything.
Me too. And even when I am wrong, it is the world's fault for not giving me better clues.I'm always right about everything.
HIS router is dusty!Actually, um.... Well...
I just encountered rubber-banding and zig-zag NPCs again, though not as bad as the worst I have seen..
What was weird is that I followed a zig-zag Beluga, and he was burst-firing his retro-thrusters with every zig... What's that about?
I'm playing right now UK on PC. I've had 2 "mauve adder" CTMs in 3 hours (both during high wake jump) other than that everything seems fine
