Newcomer / Intro Game will not Launch / LogIn Failure

Hi

Each time I log on tonight, I get the same message. It is after the ED emblem fills up the screen, & then the spinning station offplanet appears.

The message is in a "LOGIN FAILURE" box...with the words "To ensure you are playing the most up to date version, please use the launcher to start the game."

Have restarted PC. And always right-click on my desktop launcher icon to "Run as Administrator."

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I had that problem once. I would advise reinstalling Elite Dangerous. That fixed it for me.

So would I have to Uninstall it via my control panel?
And then where would I install it from?

are you using avg? if so check the quarantine vault for a elite file AVG decided it was a virus.

Thanks. yeah I do have AVG..through their options I found "Virus vault" which I think is what you mean, but could not see an Elite file.

Welcome to the club!!

I'm not able to play this game for almost 5 weeks!
All they do is just "investigate the issue"
Updating, clean installing the game doesn't work.
That has no meaning.
Although i paid i'm watching the broadcasters in twitch!

I have unconnected issue inside the game menu!

no AV, disabled firewall, no anything, yet it doesn't work!

I'm going to request my money back!

have you got more than one user on your pc i found the file on the other users vault

I had a similar issue but my game just refused to launch at all.

I had to run the game as Administrator and I had to uninstall the Elite Training option (all of the Tutorials can be gotten to via the main game anyway)

had to uninstall the ED programs...that left the Client Installer on...into that then the wizard to set up the Launcher...2 mins...new desktop ED icon clicked...booted up...& to paraphrase the end of SotD..."player 27400 is back in the game."
