Why search around? Just head to any Anarchy system, also read the documentation that is provided, or yes.. shock horror use google or visit a forum, it is 2018 Christs sake, .

Will the forums or google tell me where to collect the 61 bounties I have in my transactions tab? Nope.

This system was designed on a napkin and pushed down our throats, and we're all choking on it.

I know, I know. We should allow them more time and room to fix the bugs. Meanwhile everyone should just hold hands and sing come by yah until they they sort it.

Are you seriously arguing that if the devs feel the need to document a feature, that feature must be 'overly designed'?
I can't imagine how you must have felt back in the days when video games came with a manual...

I'm saying (not arguing) that the C&P system is over-designed, not because it needs a manual, but because it's so over-convoluted no-one really knows what's going on with it. How many changes have there been to it since release? How many of the bugs have been fixed? I mean, really; Landing into a system you're wanted in, doesn't even show up on the dash! It's so convoluted there's diagrams and flow-charts trying to explain it!!

Google will tell you, but usually you don't need to since the game also tells you. You'll notice that both bounties and bounty vouchers are listed with the name of the associated minor faction. With the exception of player factions (of which there is a tiny amount) and a few hand-made factions, minor factions are named after their home system, so from there it should be trivial to trace things back.
And of course in the few cases where it is not immediatly obvious where you need to go, you can always head over to the nearest IF and both cash in vouchers and pay off bounties.

This system was designed on a napkin and pushed down our throats, and we're all choking on it.

That's certainly an opinion.

OP, I wish I could say your attempt to troll this forum was an epic fail, but since we're all responding to it, I guess I can't. I wish some of us would finally learn our lesson and not respond to trolls like you.

:D

Interstellar contacts will let you collect all your bounties for a 25% cut. Otherwise most factions have the name of their home system in the name. Go visit and collect.

EDDB can also search for systems for minor factions in the event there is no system name. (Usually the case with PMFs.)

Hey look at that! I just proved you wrong!

Well your post did make a clear connection between the feature being too convoluted and the fact Frontier thought to document it so I hope you'll forgive my confusion.

You are warned before jumping into a system where you are wanted. And while you're in the system you can also see in your navigation pannel and in the system map the places where you are wanted. And your right pannel will also tell you your status with each faction present in the system.

I didn't make excuses for anything. I was pointing out that the OP's assertion that it wasn't documented was false. ;)

That's can only be considered as a 'highlights' documentation. The very first line.. '

  • When you commit a crime, a fine or bounty is applied to your ship.

What causes a Fine? What causes a Crime? And to be frank, they changed all that after they realised how absurd it was.

It's a 'step' in the right direction.. The wrong direction! This was 'supposed' to be mainly aimed at PvP. Has it effected them? No! They're now going around trying to beat each other to have the highest bounty!!

Not sure if you are joking?

Why would you think I was joking?

A fine is caused by committing a minor crime. A bounty is caused by committing a more severe crime.

Crimes are caused by getting caught doing illegal things.

You're welcome.

You'll recall prior to 3.0 we saw 'wanted' in red on the hud !! Why remove it? Now we have to jump into a system and open the panels to view our status? The first time this happenned to me, I thought, 'oh! I'm wanted here'.. Finished jump, and saw no "wanted' so continued to station where the federales started shooting.

I'm overwhelmed by your sarcasmic wit. I wish I was as dumb as that.

Ok then, well to answer your question, yes google will tell you, the game also tells you.

Actually, No! Google will not tell me!! Show me where on google it shows me where in which system each faction is located? please :) The game does not tell you either.

As always, I just typed in the name of the factions in my claim list (also adding elite dangerous after the name)

Ok, now I'm confused. You claimed it was available in game. In fact, you said ' the game also tells you.' Now I'm wondering, if you can see it in game, why you are using google. never mind, we'll come back to that later. You have to agree, that yes for sure, we're getting greater bounties, and I for one welcome that. But how we claim them is a disaster. And that was an indication how the design is flawed and worse, how everything they design is half-baked.

OK OP, your incredibly well written commentary enlightened me. I'm gonna stop playing elite and go play PUBG. Thanks for making me see how evil forntier are.

Sorry mate, think we are talking about separate things, I was thinking about collecting bounties. The faction is listed, but often it isn't the same name as the system, I'll run a google search to track down the station/system. Paying off bounties I just head to an Anarchy, don't care what faction gave out the bounty.
