No one is arguing there were delays, it is just that it was not delayed a full year as you stated. I am not entirely sure either why people keep arguing something as obviously false as that but there you go.
Even in the case 2.4 had been stated as "winter" (which it was not) the delay overall would have been at most 6 months (March to September). Not one year. As things and delays go in the games industry, specially considering other space sim genre products, this is probably among best in class delivery actually.
Yeah fair point, me saying a 1-year delay was a bit off since 2.4 released in September and Horizons released December 2015 (not exactly a full two years since the launch but close enough). And yeah we don't know when 2.4 would have released if the plan had been kept to so it could have dropped in January, it could have dropped in April. We'll never know.
I checked our previous comments and this whole argument could have been avoided if I'd have realised my mistake at first and corrected myself, but ahh well it doesn't matter now.
I thought you were arguing about my initial point about the delay contributing to the feeling of slow development and having on overall impact on Elites schedule, as in I thought you were arguing against there being a delay. My apologies for misunderstanding. Suppose it's what happens when you read comments too fast [big grin]
