Im not a hardcore ED Player, I didnt spend my money on ED back when it was on Kickstarter, I didnt play the Original Elite (I wasnt even born back then) and I barely knew anything about ED till I heard
Phil Spencers announcement at GDC.
Until then I was a guy with 6 years of EVE Online experience who was looking for something else, something thats not as time consuming as EVE.
Dont get me wrong here, Im a Console Player and the only games I ever played for a long period on time on PC were WoW and EVE, but that changed a few days after that announcement.
I couldnt stop watching Gameplay Videos and stuff people found on YouTube.
I bought ED on PC, with the thought in mind that its very likely that its just going to be another game that doesnt really run well on a Laptop... but I was SO hooked up, I just couldnt wait for the Xbox One Version, so I spent that 50€.
To my suprise, ED ran really well on my 5 year old laptop, some stuttering here and there, but I was able to play just fine.
After that, it got quiet.
Few months ahead we´re at E3, Im still playing ED on my Laptop a few hours a week and my friends already hate me, because Im the only one who´s able to play it (they´re all console-only). That day, ED was released for Xbox One.
I played ED since Xbox One release
nearly every day, got a lot of my friends into the game and met a lot of nice people online (shoutout to /r/EliteOne).
The game as it is right now may be not final, but I cant wait for the things to come and cant thank the developers enough for the opportunity to be part of this
TL;DR:
I may not be your biggest fan and I may not know everything about ED, Im just a casual ED player, I just want to be in one place with fellow CMDR´s have a good time and maybe even chat with the developers about the game.
