Are you sure your not syncing gamma 1.05?

Look at the version on bottom left.
52395 = Gamma 1.05
53591 = Gamma 2 (i think)

Game updates are not available to everyone simultaneously. It comes in waves. I think they do it by country/region.

It's always been like this. Patience is the key.

It's the right version - look at the date of the version number in the brackets.

The launcher is the same as yesterday, but I'm getting the message that the client is too new for the server :-(

Given my current update speed is varying between 0.03 MB/s and 0.5 MB/s, which has me 25% of the way through the update after 30 mins, you'll probably be finished and playing before me if you get the update an hour from now

Yes. THis error will disappear when their servers are updated.

Don't worry people, a bit of patience and all will sort itself out.

Sometimes a "Log out of this machine" and redo the email confirmation fixes some errors, but I can't remember which ;(

Ironically, have you updated the loader yet? I've had this before when I was using an outdated loader.
