Firstly thank you FD for the biggest fix of all I am back in game yeehaaa. Really like the way this build looks I am in station and I can hear comms chatter through my headset, If I close my eyes I can almost see my old platoon prepping to move out its a good memory. liking the new rep screen though i still need to see how it works and changes. new missions look interesting. and its nice to see i can fit basic mods on my ship without having to hunt the map.

A question though does the SKULL decal affect standings if applied?

Anyway Thanks for all the hard work, keep it rolling though as there is a galaxy to discover. 07

Cheers for fixing the broken missions guys! much appreciated. Noticed some cool little things visually as well, the npc/ pc FSD wakes look great! keep em' blue!
Noice.

Awesome things:

Faster spin around in stations
Awesome blue dot ships in SuperCruise
Fantastic mission feedback
Moar UI sounds
Better Ship Integrity and Paintwork features
More mission options
Back button
Better bounties
Butter smooth exit from SuperCruise
Shimmery effect when exiting short range SuperCruise

Good job, tonight was fun playing.

Fixed all the issues I had with prior builds, butter smooth, stable, lovely SC transitions, toned down w&t all good stuff. Route planner still needs work but if this is the release build I would be happy.

Are the ship status messages in the top right panel supposed to be sentence case now? I had become used to all caps there, and it gave a clear contrast to comms messages in the other panel. Now it's inconsistent with display labeling elsewhere in the cockpit.

If you do stay with sentence case, check that ship system names are consistently capitalised: "Frame shift drive online" reads a bit sloppy.

(Subtext: this is all I really have to complain about in 2.03 ;))

I have to say on my sys things are working pretty well with no crashes. I get the occasional minor stutter when approaching planets and ofc the stuttering when you first enter hyperspace is still there. Maybe this is a lack of vram issue although all the s/ware I use to test its usage don't agree with my max being about 1800-1900mb on a 2gb card

edit- it was brought to my attention via a negged rep that they did indeed increase AI bounties after six months of testing. that completely fixes everything and i now believe ED will be the greatest achievement in the history of gaming once again.

all i ever see about game play updates is- "made trading more tradeish so you can trade and trade traded tradey trade trader.". when is this game going to start supporting some other professions and play styles more deeply? i did not see one ounce of trading in the "cinematic trailer" that they are using to sell the final release. this game and star citizen have turned out to be a huge disappointment for very different reasons. sigh.
Did you miss the improved bounties to aid Bounty Hunting? And the improved route finding for explorers? The scenario system updates?
Not sure what you were were hoping to see, but I think most of these fixes improve every aspect of the game, not just trading.

i did indeed miss that.

Since the last version that I could even log into there have been WAY TOO RADICAL flight characteristic changes! Thrusters are unmanagably sluggish and unresponsive for one (on my Cobra w/ class C thrusters and empty hold).

Why are you tweaking things that worked fine all this time?
They haven't & they aren't (AFAIK). So I would assume this is a bug (specific to only a few players), which you should ticket.

  • Reduce memory footprint of route finder to compensate for larger search radius
  • Upped AI bounties to make bounty hunting more viable as a career
I-JUST-LOVE-YOU.

...By the way, where is the 2.02 change log ? I haven't had time (lol) to read it, yesterday.

i play in solo mode and have never seen stuttering, i'd assume the stuttering is a network code issue in open play.

i've played the game on 5-6 machines and have experienced stuttering on all playmodes. I must admit it's much better in the latest builds.

I have to say that the devs are ironing things out well. I'm getting more from Elite with the new additions included in the updates.
.
It's a nervous time, with only 3 days for release. I know I'm looking forward to it. Tuesday, 16th... soon be here.

"Seperate 'UI Back' into its own bindable input (Note this might affect players with custom bindings!)"

Is it a coincidence that I just submitted a ticket for this on Thursday? Seems like a very quick turnaround. Either way, I'm hugely grateful that the back functionality is back, so to speak. Many thanks!
