What? I'd figure there would be loads of people in the Empire and Federation hiring assassins to kill their superiors so they could secure the higher position. Especially government officials just below the highest level of government.

Speaking of, Assassin/Hitman would make a cool job and probably would pay very well in ED.

Minor factions is more accurate in this case.

Ah well. Another update V2.04 and back to the OSSOD. I'm guessing that the servers are not back up yet. I just wish that there was a server status notification in the launcher.

Ok people, every time there is a patch there are a bunch of people on here complaining, can't load, can't play etc. etc.....lol
Go have a coffee and come back in an hour! If you can't figure out why this happens every patch ......well

Ahhh, so we shouldn't make potential issues known to the developers, yeah that makes sense........

Get this, this will blow your mind I am sure.

Do not go and have a coffee and come back in an hour!, post your problem on the Elite forums so others and the developers know about the issue and can even gauge how widespread it may be, If you can't figure out why this is the correct way to deal with issues we have with every patch ......well

So yeah, here I am complaining about the complainer complaining about complainers online, ohh what fun..

the workaround until it's fixed for me is to run it "borderless" rather than "full screen"

Edit : Now running, but stuck in hyperspace.........guessing server connection issues as the local game cannot load the system state from the back end.

Further Edit : After 3 minutes in transit, dropped to normal(ish) space in target system. I hope this is not a sign of things to come on the 16th.

Are military/faction mission encounters completely random or would it be possible to give a difficulty indicator for such missions? Would be a bit more friendly for noobs like me .

You just need to keep trying - servers are busy and it will eventually work.

Why would you compare FD with a company that hobbles PC games to curry favors with the console crowd,
or one that has conjured up the most awful game launcher in history of awful game launchers ever?

Got stuck on the spinning ship at startup. Restarted pc and validated files and it says it could not start because my account could not be found or something. Tried again and it said to check my network connection or there maybe a server issue.
