Had issues with the launcher as well and removed the .NET frameworks installed starting at 4.0, as well as the two VC++ runtimes that come with the launcher. Ran a M$ .NET readiness tool then installed the latest .NET framework and re-installed the VC++ runtimes. I think the issue is .NET gets layered with upgrades that something goes afoul after so many, in any case ripping it out and re-installing helped a great deal for me.

The issue is that we've had to clear out the stellar data cache and that data is being rebuilt so any requests are taking longer than usual. It should rebuild itself within a couple of hours.

You have obviously not been playing for very long... That has cropped up a lot after updates. Don't panic. It'll be sorted out soon.
