Now it's completely unplayable due to the matchmaking server disconnects. It's making me not want to be nice on launch day.
I think come launch day I'll just do nothing but hunt down and destroy new players now.
"Oh look, a new sidewinder coming out of the station...." BOOM!

Afraid to say, this looks like it's going to be another THE SIMS - plagued by reliability issues that spoiled gameplay, resulted in bad press and probably put a lot of people off.
I sincerely hope that is not the case, but to have so many bug fixes in place 2 days before launch does not fill me with confidence.
As a gamma tester, I feel my job is done. I may as well get my coat and wait for things to settle down before playing again - if things are this unstable with only BETA/GAMMA kickstart backers in the game imagine what it's going to be like when the general public start playing.
I applaude the obvious effort on the development team to get this working but to have so many bugs still present in the code at this late stage is very risky. Lets hope it pays off.

I've had several problems tonight.
1.Constant "Failed to connect to matchmaking server" error. Specifically when asking for docking permission!
2.Stuck in frame shift tunnel when attempting super cruise
3.And I'd finally had enough of all the errors so I clicked "Save & Exit" and the game got stuck in a black screen for 5 minutes and ended up manually closing the program.
An update every day, but every day I keep getting more errors/crashes. I thought this stage was used to fine tune the game and make it better, it currently appears less stable than it ever has been for me!
I guess 2.06 will be released tomorrow with fixes for these issues?

i'm sure they will. funny thing is i'm with r53988/r0 and no long hyperspace / sc for me.
everythings seems working fine.But still cant chat with friends who are in other systems,or not in line of sight.Even when on pvt game..And when together on the same game,i dont see em...I dont know what caused this.but this is making it less playable...

Hehe...count me in...first couldnt play for 2 days,then when i finally can play.its so buggy,that its not even worth it to play..

I guess those of us that are getting Matchmaking errors need to send in tickets at this point so they know our specific hardware to diagnose the issue. Or are we still giving it a few hours for servers to calm down?
pretty sure they are much aware of the matchmaking issue. give them time to fix them first thing in the morning
"Matchmaking" in this case is "Managing which instance you join or whether to spawn a new one for you" - obviously in solo mode the answer will always be "spawn a new one"
My experience today: Several exe crashes, stuck in SC, and several matchmaking server errors. Gave up. Worse day I ever had in ED.
Hello. Just played for 3 hours, it was a blast, I have been mining in solo and got attacked several times and had some great npc fights and got some nice metals. Did crash out with the matchmaking thing three times though but was able to get back in quickly. Even managed to kill a konda, really smooth and I have an old rig ( GTX 275 ). This game is amazing.
