Regarding tomorrows build, do you know if they are going to add Slaves and Imperial slaves to the Galaxy map? Since at least Imperial slaves are legal in the Empire, one would hazard a guess they are still a valid commodity. Also, I just could not find slaves anywhere to be able to free them. The missions they involved were not necessarily salvage missions but...

There's a bug with this currently. Not sure when it'll be fixed.

I got some slaves in my hold right now... :D
 
Michael,

Why are you resetting filters on the map?! If anything I want them to STAY. This is going to make the map even MORE tedious to use!

I just have one question:

I had some issues with system exploration data and Server Error drops:

In other almost fully explored system when I returned to game, withouth exiting main menu, and then after a scan to get system to show up again in nav panel, got only "unexplored" objects (but were able to see in system map what I already had explored). Planets I had explored (not red dwarf) were black in system map.

Another Server Error happened when i jumped from explored system to next. When I returned to game (through main menu), I were in system I had just explored and jumped out, my scan and nav panel showed nothing (except star). But system showed up fully explored in system view.

So, if I dont get approppriate credits from these systems, or cant sell them at all (both happened just before servers went down), should I ticket this all still in 2.05?
 
I am not the only one working this weekend then. Big day for the team Tuesday hope it all goes well and to plan.
 
Hello FD

Great to see all the improvements - want to try it all out, I see a couple of issues not sure if covered with recent fixes,

1. Upgrade cost of ships - I want to go from Cobra to T-6 I have 375K for ship value - 750K cash - T6 costs 1.046M, I have enough if I want to trade-in but i cannot do it as it is still "red" - any plan to correct this?

2. When you use FSD to enter another sector, if the target was well down the list the highlighted the auto-selected entry starts that far down, usually in the exceeds mass red zone, so you have to scroll up alot of lines, can we have it that in a new sector FSD or with SC as well the highlighted line is either the NAV point for the new sector - or the target or place you dropped from SC - in the case of a USS - the closest point if the USS is no longer present in the table listing?

Sadly, I am away working on 16th so I will be a day or so behind the fun of Day 1 - but having a long festive break - umm just need the family to out for a few hours next weekend - how about 48hrs!

Any fixing on the text window and comms? Surely this must be a priority? You guys are doing a stellar job by the way!

As long as you guys are aware of the problems thats fine with me. I wouldn't like to be trying to tell you how to do your job! Group play in open is a nightmare but as long as it gets sorted at some stage (even after launch) I am happy. You know what is important more than us!
 
Also Alliance details please for capital system access, there are no Alliance military ranks.

Alliance doesn't have a formal ranking system for the player yet. This was also true for FFE back in the day (indeed, the Alliance didn't have much of a formal navy in 3250 even though they managed to wrest control away from both Feds and Imperials a few decades prior), but maybe in the future if FDEV implement more military power for the Alliance?

Then again, I remember DBOBE described the Alliance as akin to the European Union in an earlier dev diary, and given the EU doesn't have a military like the USA does, I suspect it's more likely that member states to the Alliance will have their own military forces, and hence (although I have no idea if this is true for EU membership terms) will have agreements to provide resources in the event of an Alliance-wide military action?
 
It means that missions become available at lower reputation levels.

This is excellent news, particularly for new players. I spent ages being told factions didn't trust me enough to do even the most basic of courier missions. It made building a reputation far harder. Great stuff.

Thanks for the in-game warning! It is a rather tangled web to sort out at times!

The Holo projection landing pad aids, glitched pretty much out of existence a few times in 04, so I had to use that mini-radar to find the correct spot for the ship. I hope that one is on the eh... radar for 05 and/or beyond. :)
 
is it possible to get rep back up after being caught doing a mission for the guys that now hate me. ive spent 16 hrs grinding rep missions and missions for the feds.. no change.. is this fixed or intended?
why are allied security even scanning me?.. what about all the free stuff ive given them. the fish.. the tazers.. the minerals.. the medicines..

is it wrong of me to think that its normal to work the weekend before your games released. ive always had to do it.. its what happens when management make promises the grunts have to keep.
 
ED DEv conduct to date and in particular these past 2 weeks pending release has been impeccable and beyond reproach. There will most certainly be bugs at release, yes. To all those clamouring now already for 'they better get it fixed or else...', calm down. Elirte Dangerous will stand or fall on the entire development cycle and not just the status on Day 0 and as far as I am concerned, they have absolutely nothing to worry about and all to be proud about.

You reap what you sow and by gawd, it's gonna be a bumper crop :D
