Garret station is... anarchy and independent or patronage and empire? or both...?

Is this a bug, or am I missing something. How can Garret Dock be listed as anarchy and independent, but in the system map information it is patronage and empire? Also, those prohibited weapons, are not prohibited because they sell in the commodities market.

I took that to mean that Garrett Dock was controlled by Citizens Forum (Empire faction, Patronage government), but the System as a whole was controlled by a sub-faction which was Independent faction, Anarchy government.

Yeah, that's it. Still a bug though, I often find myself on a station that says "Empire" and still can't cash in imperial bounty vouchers as it's in fact an independent station in an imperial system.

It's a station owned by a minority faction aligned with the Empire, but it resides in a system controlled by the Independent Anarchy owners of the other station.

Maybe they're just not card carrying members of the Empire yet :). I've run into the same thing. It's probably the "anarchy" part of the overall system state preventing it, though. There would be no authorities to turn a bounty in to. It would be like trying to renew your visa while traveling at a McDonalds.

But the outposts commodity market should still be it's own, no? It shouldn't be an Independent anarchic market if it's an Imperial-controlled outpost.

Note that if you commit a crime within sight of this outpost, you will still get an Imperial bounty even though it's an anarchy system!

The only odd thing in that screenshot about the market is that the System screen shows Battle Weapons as prohibited but the Outpost sells them. Different stations in the same system can have different prohibited lists, at least according to the System screen

*edit* and I thought that different stations of the same meta-faction can have different prohibited lists - so some Empire stations can ban narcotics while others allow them, for example.

Exactly, something is not quite right here.

You don't think there's anything odd about an Imperial outpost having an Independent Anarchy commodity market?

Devs just confirmed this was a known bug.

Sorry, yes, I see what the weirdness is now with commodities and I haven't come across anything quite like that before. I've had the Galaxy Map lines telling me certain places sold something when they definitely didn't but not the system view screen.
