This thread will give you a formula for working the value out (to within a couple of credits at least) - but the TLDR version is: the same as Class III / IV / V gas giants.

The most valuable gas giants are, oddly enough, not the rarest or hardest to find ones. The most valuable gas giants are Class II. Class II are fairly easy to pick from the system map, as they are usually very pale, pastel-coloured compared to other gas giants. A Class II is worth about as much as a HMC, so they are about as worthwhile going out of your way to find.
Personally, I'll consider investigating any Class II less than 50,000 Ls from the jump-in point, more than that if there are other interesting targets at the destination. Other gas giants I won't bother with unless I happen to come into range of one while investigating something else.

Yeah, the "White Ones" are good scanning and absolutely on my list. That was one of the reasons I asked, as I have noticed that I could also tell a Water Giants apart from the system map, so figured I need to know if it is worth going after. Too bad they are at very bottom of Jovian 'price' structure with their low weight and all. Still might scan them for rarity value, when spotted.
That life actually lowers Class I/II values is bit strange though. Scan a Gas Giant that is defiantely class II and voilá; Life! And all the UC says is "I'm sorry, we can't pay the full price as we have to fumigate the place before use. It is infected."
It is an odd pricing structure. The only reason I can think of is that they have some intent to make Class IIs in some way special or desirable, that has not yet been implemented. Perhaps "only Class IIs will be colonizable" by gas mining rigs once flying-onto-gas-giants becomes a thing. Or maybe "only Class IIs have an atmosphere clean enough to use a fuel scoop on".
