Get rid of NPC portraits in Chat window

When Frontier initially added character portraits (and holo-me) to the game in 2.4, they inserted a little picture next to every line of chat, and people rightly complained during the beta, because it reduced the number of lines of chat that can fit in the window and was just generally obnoxious having 2/3 of your chat history wiped out because a wedding barge is in the area. They fixed it by removing NPC portraits altogether, and having portraits only appear for messages issued by CMDRs.

Well now the chat window is back to the 2.4 beta version, and it's terrible:

Frontier Please fix this by either making it work the way it has worked since 2.4, or better yet, here's my proposal:
• Direct messages addressed to you the CMDR will have portraits for the 1st line of text, subsequent lines of text display by themselves below this
• "General" local chat messages directed at no-one in particular (I'm looking at you, wedding barge) will have no portraits.

This is the best solution because it helps to highlight and draw your attention to relevant actionable messages without degenerating into yet another piece of GUI spam which your brain trains itself to ignore after each piece of inconsequential flavor text.

I'm not a fan of the NPC avatars in my chat, because they are all generic storm troopers wearing helmets. Hard to take a storm trooper seriously when he's bragging about being the "1% of all liners". The least they could do is show a portrait of Captain Merrill Stubing!
