Get rid of the module storage limit

If the OP isn't gonna use that B-Class G5 partly-engineered power plant.... sell it.

You're never going to use it. Get rid of it.

Alternative: allow cmdrs to buy long-term storage for modules... which we can. Its called T9.

There likely needs to be some sort of limit. But 120 is a rather low. it causes all sorts of weirdness with commanders buying ships just to act as module storage.
It is not quite as bad as not allowing remote refuel of FC causing some commanders to use the alt account remote refuel exploit, but a silly PITA none the less.

We need a way to organize the inventory. Sort by size class, sort by module type, something. Its a pain to scroll through 100+ trying to find that one burst laser i want. I can only imagine how bad it would be scrolling through a thousand modules looking for a specific one in the pile.
I would agree with that.

Well That too, i dont even know why we are not granted the possibility of using filters on inventory. We have many different filters on Galmap for example (too bad we can't use multiple at time).

Infinite modules. There is literally no reason to have a limit.

So you are going to pay for the storage space when your infinite number of modules exceeds current capacity?

Now you might think it's a good idea and no-one could possible have so many modules that storage space gets chewed up to the point of having to add more capacity to store the data for player modules, but I used to work in IT and I know exactly how bad an idea that is. Let me put it this way, have you ever played a game, any game anywhere, that gives you infinite storage space? Nope? I wonder why!

Just sell the modules, you don't need anymore. No point in having hundreds of modules rotting in storage.

It's not easy, sure... I also have dozens of modules in storage, I'm not using and probably will never use again. Put work and time in them to engineer them, so I keep them, just in case. But if I'm honest, I could probably sell half of them without ever going to miss them.

120 modules is plenty.

I do use all my my stored modules in various builds.

But apparently I can own an infinite amount of type 10s around the galaxy, with the modules installed with no problems. And I know more games that give you effective infinite storage then don't.

Of course infinite is really bad idea and i fully agree on that, but option to actually buy more storage space (in game, not in real life) for your modules could be quite good idea.

Example:
First ten cargo space units would cost 1 million/ csu. 120 -> 130 max
Next ten would cost 10 millions / csu. 130-> 140 max
Another next ten ones could cost 25 millions / csu. 140 ->150 max.
ETC.

Of course there could be specified missions like that from Ram Tah but this time rewarding you with actually something useful like +10 or +20 storage limit. So we could buy some more space a few times, and then we would have max 170 cargo space with previous bought upgrades.

There could be CG's giving some cargo space as rewards like +5 for one CG.
And there are other possibilities.

New limit with that kind of upgrades could be doubled.

Also why Fleet carrier owners have no additional cargo space? Even +10 to +20 could be usefull.
Or have they and i know nothing about it?

Like I said, game already has infinite storage space. You just have to access it in roundabout ways.
Do you mean all the module space x number of ships in your fleet? Thats also limited. :)

I presented solution known from other mmo games, which should work fine here too.
