Newcomer / Intro Getting interdicted while in supercruise assist

Hello,

I had just got loaded up with some minning stuff (low temp diamonds). I was in supercruise assist, when I got interdicted, I had NO chance to try and beat the interdiction, it just kicked me out and they killed me and took my stuff. So my question is, can you still beat the interdiction while you are in supercruise assist? And if so how? I have been beating it for years, but it seems that the supercuise assist does not let you beat the interdiction. True?

Not true.
As soon as the interdiction starts, you go to whatever throttle setting you manually set. If you started sca at 0 throttle, then you will immediately go to 0 and lose.
You can manually change your background speed at any time during sca buy pressing one of speed buttons, but it is not displayed anywhere.

When it happens to me, and it often does, I'll hit my 75% throttle and evade.

However...

1) If I'm carryi g nothing or a ton of carto data, I'll submit but cutting to zero speed. You'll be called a useless dreg or something but you wo 't be visiting the rebut screen

2) If I'm in a fully loaded T9 that has extremely weak modules and no engineering, I'll just cry at my tight-fisted stupidity and suck up the loss of cargo and/or ship.

Sorry for the multiple threads. Thanks for the responses. It seems that the problem is that when you are in supercruise assist that it will try to correct for any position corrections you make (like trying to evade) (to keep you on course), and I think that screws up your ability to evade the interdictions. Before I used supercruise assist I almost always was able to evade, but this time I got about 1 second time and it kicked me out (normally you get several seconds time before it determines if you passed the evade or not, (I never really got the chance to evade) and then I got beat up. I will try it again with the throttle set to Manual for supercruise, it was set to auto. FYI I have over 3600 hours play time, I know how to evade, and it is not working the same with supercruise assist enabled. Anyone else have a similar problem? Not a big deal, I just wont use it when I got stuff to deliver, until I figure out how to make it work for evading bad guys.

No it doesn't - you can change your heading whilst SCA is active - you just get a message telling you to "align with target destination". SCA only corrects heading within a very small range of movement.

Odd I always get dumped out of SCA when interdicted. Which is annoying as once you beat it you have to reset it again.

You missunderstand something, you do not need manual speed option set in SCA.
When you get interdicted, SCA is immediatly canceled, and your speed goes to "normal" throttle. If "normal" is 0, then you will immediatly fail, if not, the interdiction carries on as it would without SCA.
"normal" is either your throttle setting when you engaged SCA, or whatever speed you attempted to set manually (but failed, because SCA is active)

When I enter SCA, I always then press the button for 75%. This has no visible effect, but if I get interdicted, or have to pull away from the target to get a better approach (so disable, but not cancel SCA), I have a sensible throttle setting of 75%.

Another misunderstanding there. Your throttle must be in the "blue zone" to engage SCA and if you move it out of the blue zone SCA asks for it to be put back there.

So you cannot engage SCA with your throttle at zero.

EDIT - seems there is an auto-throttle I didn't know about. sorry
