Elite / Frontier Getting the sound to work properly [ Frontier Elite 2 ]

I went through the effort of getting the game running on windows 8 through Dosbox, but the 4 options for sound

Roland LAPC1 Compatible
Adlib / Soundblaster compatible
PC internal
No sound

Neither of them sound anything like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbegNmKRZUM though. anyone still alive that knows what i can do?

You need to try the amiga version if you want it to sound like that. Amiga emulation can be a bit of a headache as there are legal issues with distributing the system ROMS.

You can buy Amiga Forever from Cloanto to get legit versions with the emulator and some goodies or you could find the ROMS yourself, somehow, and download a free emulator. WinUAE is the main one but FSUAE might be the best to start with. I believe it is WinUAE with a lot of friendly preconfigured stuff ready to run.

Not sure about the legal status of FE2 but it is easy to find amiga disk image files, (.adf), online.
