Geysers are NOT to be played with as they break the game and then you!

I knew from the srv and prior interaction on-foot, that you could get a bit of a air-boost from vents.
And as you can see from the picture below, the geyser was at the bottom of a darken cave area, so I thought I might use it to fling me out of the hole,
And then get back to my ship parked next to the mountain where the hole was. (the 2 o'clock position from the cursor)

However, I broke the game.
I was thrown up into the sky, a beautiful neon sky.
At first I thought it would last a microsecond or two, but I just keep rising up and continued to do so, and much faster than a ship with a boost.

The sheer velocity and violence of how I was thrown up into the atmosphere, basically ripped my body into 2 pieces, notice how the 1rst person legs have been ripped from the first person head (camera).
and that was AFTER they rubberbanded back to being reasonably near the player camera.

The HUD lost the ship after 4 kilometers, but that was fine because I started to fall shortly afterwards.
I started to wonder if it was possible to magically recall the ship on foot, or if I could get a vista taxi? or would i needed to relaunch the game.

With 0.54g, and the game physics of equal force up and equal force back down again, I came down pretty hard.
The jetpack wasn't slowing me down at all.
I might have died and lost my codex bounties, but my discoveries still remained in the codex.
Do you loose the biodata as well ?
Even if it lost it all, it made me laugh anyway.

Yeah watch out for those geysers on low G planets! They are tempting but you will die, although it is always a fun experience so best to do when you are not carrying scan data. I believe you lose your undelivered exobiology data when you perish.

All you have to do is find a rip in the space-time continuum and you can land safely :D
