Giant? Giant?

Heading out at the minute, just the far side of Barnard's Loop, spotted a carbon star roughly in the right direction and I've not seen one of those before so that's my immediate goal.

Bit starved of untagged bodies since I set out, so when I saw an unclaimed gas giant a mere 1700ls from the (claimed) star I thought 'what the heck, I'll try to stick my name on that since I've had so few chances lately'. I know they'll be coming thick and fast in the next few dozen light years, but hey.

If I have to get to within 80ls before the DSS kicks in then you have no business calling yourself a Gas "Giant". I demand a new class of "Insubstantial Planet With Ideas Above Its Station". Hmmmph.

What's giant about that? If I had a credit for every icy planet I've seen that you could fit that comfortably inside I'd have probably hundreds more credits....

A gas dwarf (or mini-Neptune) is definitely a category which should be added to planetary description database...
