Give the DEVS a break - It's nearly Christmas & New Year!

I haven't had any real cause for complaining about them doing their job but with that being said, it is their job and I do expect them to do it. However, it is holiday time and I afford them some leniency when taking care of problems. And they have done an acceptable job of doing just that. I don't expect instant results, just the knowledge that they are doing the best they can. That's all I can ask for.
 
I didn't say the whole holiday season.....I doubt they are closing for 2 weeks but to fault them for taking a few days off of Christmas and New Years?

Don't twist what I said into a whiney "doom and gloom" post. You can see just as well as anyone else with a good look at the forums that a lot of people are having major problems with different parts of the game, game-breaking bugs and the like. Things that need to be fixed sooner rather than later. FD made the decision to launch just before the holidays, I don't think they would do that without being prepared to spend the time being very active fixing the major problems that have been arising.

Is it my fault they released just before the holidays? Nope.

There's no "we're on holidays" card to pull when you launch an online only game as a game developer.

Yes many people have been having problems. take a look at any forum for any other just released game and you will see the same thing.

as for twisting what you said, my bad. I had read through many posts before yours and saw a lot of griping about FD taking a break and my response reflected that and not anything you specifically said.

I don't know any company that has issued daily patches to fix a game they just released. In my mind FD has treated us quite fairly and have demonstrated that they are supporting this game for the long haul.

I have no issue if they take a break....well deserved in my opinion.
 
Come on...they didn't "accidentally" release Elite just before Christmas. Now get back down into the Imperial Slave Dungeon and work :D
 
Well I for one am delighted with the game as it stands, regardless of some initial frustration.

Yes there are bugs and balance issues but the devs have been *banging* out the fixes and tweaks, honestly I can't comprehend how anyone could be anything other than thrilled at what they're doing.

I couldn't play Far Cry 4 for a *week* after I bought it; just wouldn't even start. Their support service had me in an automated bot queue (pretending to be a real person) for 5 days before a real person even read my ticket. In the end I found a fix myself and I told them so; it took them another 3 days to read that response and stop sending me more gumph and close the ticket.

I work in software development myself and let me tell you, those boys are doing an *unbelievable* job. Merry christmas to the FD team, you guys rock!
 
I have already given money. A lot of it. Havnt received all of the game that backed though.

I had complete faith that NPC crews and wingmen will be implemented. Others had complete faith for offline mode. Look what happened to those.

Your tone was implying a belief in a difference of personal integrity between the old and the young. Perhaps it's not what you meant to convey, but, on these forums, people often look down on those in different age groups, and it's easy to jump to the conclusion that you were being demeaning.

It doesn't help when you refer to other humans as "they" (i.e. you're putting up a barrier between yourself and 'us').
