Thats a understatement there level cap is what put me here they killed pvp they killed credit making and made pve impossible to do with a pug group all in 1 patch it was fking amazing tbh im glad they did it cuz this game is 100x betterw

I'm working Christmas eve & New Years eve.
My father, who works as a programmer, never gets any special time off during the holidays. What makes game developers so special?
It's upsetting enough that the SC dev team is taking time off for the holidays. Don't need the ED devs doing the same thing just after their game launched.

they have server monitoring and on-call people to handle issues should a server fail. I can also guarantee you they will be enjoying the holidays and not writing code....unless of course they do that for fun

If they let their game go the whole holiday season without fixing things, that's up to them... But it will be to the game's detriment. They shouldn't have launched with the game in such a broken state right before a major holiday season.
I didn't say the whole holiday season.....I doubt they are closing for 2 weeks but to fault them for taking a few days off of Christmas and New Years?

New Years and Christmas are statutory holidays in most places around the world. No one's saying they should work on New Years.
They deserve to have stat holidays off as much as the rest of us, but that's all. The days in-between Christmas and New Years are not statutory holidays, and the Frontier devs are no more special than the rest of us who have to work those days.

If the game would be almost bug and exploit free and would be running smooth, no problem with that.
Actual situation ? No christmas for them untill they fix alot of problems .
Just my 2 cents ... Let them enjoy 3 days off on holidays and then get back to work.

In my day companies and business respected their staff ..We had things like Bonuses and last day at work usually ended in the pub after lunch :
The bosses gave us a week off over the Xmas paid.... and that's the way things were..... That's how I see FD's kind of environment ..
But these days if you work for big companies especially Tescos, Sainsburys, Asda etc you are just Cattle ....They will suck the last second out of you ...Its just Greed.
But that's the way this generation has been brought up....They don't realise they are just a number not a person anymore ...At least its like that in the UK anyway ..

I was referring to the older users that had time off over xmas in their day and expect FD staff to also......And those that insist they work because thay have to

Your tone was implying a belief in a difference of personal integrity between the old and the young. Perhaps it's not what you meant to convey, but, on these forums, people often look down on those in different age groups, and it's easy to jump to the conclusion that you were being demeaning.
It doesn't help when you refer to other humans as "they" (i.e. you're putting up a barrier between yourself and 'us').

Online games are 24/7 and so you need to staff appropriately.. You think Blizzard will let WoW just idle for those days?
