I dont get it this thread...

What is it about? You all listen to music while playing?

I don't. But I'm always making up videos in my head and putting music to them, or imagining Elite videos to music I hear. I can't help it.
When I'm playing it's headphones on and game sounds only though

Absolutely not! lol.

Now don't get me wrong, i love music, i love instrumental classical, to classic rock, to metal, to 50s and 60s.

But music is music, and games, is games for me, they don't mix. SPECIALLY in Elite Dangerous..

Its feels like i mix up the best of this world with the best of that word, with as result a tasteless pile of ... goo... Ugh!

Fair enough. I'm the opposite: music enhances everything I do.

Normally I wouldn't but with elite for some reason I don't mind, I have an elite specific playlist on Spotify, wouldn't listen to the Beatles while playing but the mass effect 3 soundtrack that'll do nicely usually have it on low so I can still hear everything in game,
