Glaives are broken now

So when the glaives showed up they made the entire environment toxic to guardian tech. Even while docked at the surface port my guardian tech was taking damage. 1 min and it was 0% while docked even. You can repair but by the time you leave dock your guardian tech is below 80% and degrades rapidly. This is ridiculous. So now those Glaives turn the CZ into the maelstrom environment when they show up?

It's actually their intended behavior. Whatever you may think of it, Frontier fixed the anti-Guardian field of theirs not being active permanently around planetary port CZs with 15.02.

I more and more come to think that they really wanted to counter the shardcondas and limit the clops instagibbing.. 🤔
Also a theory of mine, but still not a great solution if so, seeing as it has the knock-on effect of also killing the Guardian weapons of any non-gib boat. (I personally never used a 6 shard conda and if I would have, it wouldn't be by cheesing Cyclops over and over again. It's fun once maybe, and then what? 90% of CZ spawns are Cyclops and they're already not that hard or exciting to fight once you get the basics of AX down. Just gibbing them constantly has to get boring rather quickly, surely?)

Is it an effective counter? Yes. Is it something that is a great mechanic? I'd say no because it arbitrarily targets anything around the CZ that is Guardian-based and can neither be slowed down through standard module reinforcements(last I checked), nor can the player really do anything to stop it from being used, bar being right where the Glaives spawn and massacring them before they get to move. If the weapons even last that long.

I'm guessing this is supposed to counter the gib-boats. Now players need to carry some standard AX weapons to kill the glaives.

I'm not sure they considered the effect this will have on standard ships, though.

In any case, you can probably beat them most effectively by using some fixed Ax missiles. Swapping 2 shards for 2 missiles should do the trick.

You can kill a Glaive in a 1-2-1 with a shieldless Python, I took one on that hyperdicted me and survived with 36% hull. Loss of Guardian weapons and systems were an issue other wise I think I could have won quicker. My loadout is here Python Build

Its to progress the story where Thargoids counter Guardian tech so Aegis gets more better at improving AX tech to counter 🤔

I think they are a bit rubbish. Recently able to out run their FSD missiles and yet the FSD still miraculously fails. I get end game is approaching but if that’s the case and there are Uber machines at least make them Uber.

As it is they deal such low DPS I just log off and on again, they scratch a couple of percent max in that 15sec wait.

About AX CZs - I always thought why there's no more diversity? Always 90% of Cyclops, be it low or very high intensity. That's why 6shard Conda become boring. Because you always shoot at weakest interceptor. Why not more Basilisks, and especially Medusas? Even Hydra before final stage, maybe only in very high intensity? Wasn't it like this in HIP 22460 before Proteus Wave?
As the intensity of AX CZ increases, the percentage of Cyclops should drop in favor of stronger interceptors. And then 6shard Conda has the sense.
Glaive is not bad (I welcome any new content), but this AG Field is bad solution. Typical FDev -, frustrate players for a few months, and then "generously" provide some PFM solution to a PFM problem. And generally speaking, this war is more and more stupid. Tissue sampling is the most efficient weapon??? And limiting frame rates makes it an even more efficient weapon?????? Let's scalp them at 30 FPS to win the war!:ROFLMAO:(n)

Because a few months ago during their livestream, they had the lead dev responsible for designing the new thargoid scenarios on as a guest. After Arther talked him up as being the best AX player on the dev team, he asked which interceptor he found the toughest; the guy answered the Medusa because he hadn't been able to solo one yet.

That's the best AX player they have onboard, responsible for testing the new scenarios to gauge their difficulty. Is it really any wonder we only get a constant stream of cyclops?

I typically only did Ground AX CZs, and that was prior to update 15. I did see a wide variety. I had Medusas and Basilisks showing up in the first wave about 30% of the time. That usually made it fought, because the Medusas utterly destroyed the NPCs, so I had no decoys when taking out the Cyclops and Basilisks.

On the flip side, I NEVER saw one complete and have the Hydra come in. A couple of times the bar was full, so one should've shown up, but instead there was just nothing.

I have no idea what the current state is. And given that Glaives can show up and melt my Salvation weapons, which are needed for the Interceptors, I'll pass for now.

I believe they fixed the ground AX CZs not spawning in Hydras at the end. Player reports from after the fix(don't remember when it was) certainly indicate they show up there now.

Now they both show up and a few minutes later the game rewards you the bonus for killing them, when you're still on the second or third heart of the first.
