The Golem looks great but that coaster's....not the main attraction.

The Golem is nice and the terrain editor is a very strong tool [big grin]
We can create a lot of nice caves and other things the sky is the limit [up]
Cant wait to see the coaster builder in action, hopefully soon grin .

How incredible is that?

The lighting
The coaster supports
Is that a load of people staring at the ride in pic 5?

The golem looks amazing and creative, but the roller coaster is a huge turnoff for me. I hope it's still early in development or this coaster is just poorly made, because the track is very wobbly and supports look cluttered.

I think it's veeeerry early :D It's nearly 3 month to work, enough time (and there is just the alpha) So I think it'll be better :)

(Happy new Year :))

Cool stuff. Imagine filling in with plants and trees to really sell the idea that this stone structure have been there forever.
I believe this also proves we can paint whatever surface we want anywhere. Looks like a design choice that the hands and head, and some parts of the ground around him is sand.

What happened?[where is it]

The textures, these weird supports and the non existing shadows...

Rct* all over again?![shocked]

This type of replies are why devs are scared of putting non complete work on the internet. Good job!

Please, before posting think carefully why maybe theres no shadows and theres things that still need work in those shots.
Its like some people think you can make a game with flip of a switch. The damage created by some publishers like ubisoft and their bullshots years before the game is released and then gets downgraded is HUGE.

Well the devs decided to share those things and i dont see the reason why someone would post a picture of the coaster editor when it doesnt look promising? i want to see a solid coaster editor in a game which is called Planet COASTER. 3 months are pretty short when they still have to develop the coaster system.

Dont get me wrong but after Rc** i am verrrrryyyyy skeptical.

In 3 months they will likely have the basics of the coaster builder ready, but it will still be under development until Q4 2016. We can't expect a definitive version now. Also note that in March the alpha will be launched, not the beta.

1- we don't know what build this is as the main focus of the picture was the golem
2- there might be various coaster modifications that we don't know of
3- the game doesn't have 3 months as it's coming out Q4 2016 - at alpha it's still in development - i'm confident they have a great coaster editor based on dev dairy 2 footage which provides much more context

what i'm trying to say is it's too early to make any judgement calls - lets wait for more info on coasters

the reason why they post photos is because people keep getting mad when they don't post photos.
sadly, its a lose-lose situation to planet coaster.
a person in another forum talked about how they don't post enough photos and videos.

The golem looks great but the supports needs work. Or is this just a support for this type because DiveCoaster and a lot more coasters don't have this sort of track

Looks like a type of support Vekoma uses to me - they are ugly... But they are that ugly in real life lol.

It's actually very clever to get supports that complex to generate in realistic way. Personally I prefer less suppots and chunkier ones... But I guess the alpha feedback will refine these things.

As for shadows, come on! Not even at alpha yet! It's safe bet that having built the most ambitious landscaping tools ever, Frontier won't forget that coasters should cast shadows :)
