Just found this thread. Cheers, Bomba Luigi! I'm not new to CQC but I still have much to learn.
And while I'm here, GG to Bomba Luigi from back then, and to the legendary Artysu who firmly put me in my place today. Further GG shouts to Sowelu and John Rutherford, both fearsome competitors indeed, and to Teanox as someone to watch for the future.
Finally, a big GG shout out to Caulkhead, Tompsett, and everyone else who fought with and against me (many of whom I've forgotten the names I'm afraid) on CQC DM over the past 24 hours.

Cmdr AR - you have amazing skills but we had a much better game after you left.
I know the matchmaking sucks but maybe if you see that everyone else hasn't prestiged at all and are single digit ranked, maybe take a break and let us pit our wits against people our own level.

Understandably it would be nice to be put into a more level playing field. I sometimes have 3 matches and then leave if I find I have an unfair advantage.
But some times I find that I can only get the same host server even if I leave CQC for 20 minutes or so. o7.

I mostly stopped using powerups. (I sometimes pick them up if I happen to fly by.) And sometimes I quit too for half an hour or so not to scare all the players away. But same here, if I quit looking for a more balanced match the game puts me back into the same instance. Not too many players around, I guess. But even with the weapons power I have trouble winning a duel with you... [wacky]

Maybe just maybe FD might make a training server for the new CQC pilots so they can learn the ropes with other non-prestige flyers. This way new pilots can find their wings. Btw great game the other night fella. o7.

This way more of the new pilots stick around, hence more players in the pool.

Yes it was their semi-regular "challenge the Devs at CQC Arena" livestream and I'm sure there'll be more of them in future. They're usually advertised in either the newsletter or on social media a week in advance.
