Good job frontier! Engineer exploit fixed in 24 hours!

You're insane. That's not what the exploit does. It is mostly likely that they're just significantly better than you. If you have TRULY encountered someone that fits both of those criteria, then they are a hacker, not using this exploit.

Whatever. Shoot the messenger if you must. Seems whenever someone attempts to point out an issue like this, there is this group of players that insist on the GIT GUD reply. Their "One Trick Pony" comeback to pretty much every comment they want to deny or don't agree with.

Another for my ignore list... This is great.. I am able to remove a bunch of cheater apologists in one fell swoop.

Cool they did it, but:

literally EVERYONE who was aware of that bug now have ships with 140+ DD, uber boosters, uber shields, cool rails, and everything stacked on at least 2-3 ships (FDL, Cutter, Conda, Clippa)
Almost EVERYONE who you do not want to meet in the galaxy - have that ship.

Even with the exploit, that most likely isn't possible for someone who learned of the exploit in the past couple days. The RNG is that bad.

Hear me out. The exploit works by allowing someone to roll grade 5 blueprints repeatedly very fast. It doesn't actually change the parameters of the blueprint itself, it just lets someone do it over and over. Is this what you understand the exploit to be? if not, can you tell me what you think is going on?

@Earth Ultimatum IV = "Good job frontier! Engineer exploit fixed in 24 hours!"

You must be joking , closing the door to others is not a fix until they remove the god rolled modules-weapons from cheaters otherwise is just an intended side effect like the crack train

It's been public for only a day. Even with that exploit, the chance of getting god rolls is super slim.
The more intelligent ones probably did some light modding, stockpiled on avarage rolls so they don't have to bother with grind in future, while the stupid ones wasted the whole exploit day to get one godroll (and probably didn't even get it).

Yes I'm joking. Exploits like these are stupid, but what's way more is the grind itself. If the game wasn't broken and against the basics of game design, you wouldn't have half of the community jumping on exploit bandwagons the moment they appear.... And desparately searching for another exploits when the last one got fixed.

It's also significant that one uses easily-available G1 materials for these very fast G5 rolls.

That is some one who combat logged, different exploit.

A Combat Logger doesn't fly around an instance for 20 minutes blowing up G5 Engineered Ships in less than 2 minutes per ship.

This ship was reported by several players in the instance.

I really could give a flying frack about what any of you are saying or thinking. I've been playing this game for three years and I know a cheater when I see one.

What's being said and thought is that what you're describing has literally less than nothing to do with the godroll exploit. Perhaps if you didn't exploit the forum block feature you'd actually be able to follow the conversation and learn something.

in that case it was a real cheater, got nothing to do with this topic, move on.

Im talking about the nearly several months cheaters who have a fleet of ships , also even you reckon the exploit but GCI have the same rules for god rolls ships vs average does it sound fair or an indication of ability eg to shoot 2 medium rails with 10 heat vs 40 which is avg. or 45%+ distr which you can boost much more frequently etc.

Someone blowing up G5 engineered ships in 2 minutes? These victims were piloted by whom? Were they effective G5 builds, or (for example) misstacked booster builds with no underlying resistances? There are a lot of ways to screw up a build, even with engineering.

Sounds to me more like someone was flying around with a frag ship, combining rapid fire and screening shell (both legitimate mods that do not require an exploit) and "deleting" enemy ships. Rinzler has a video on their YouTube channel, search for "Derezzed." Frags + rapid fire + screening shell is truly horrifying.
