Gore DLC?

Why would they? It doesn't affect the base game itself. In fact if they don't sell the DLC at all they would make less money than if they sell it in certain countries only (which would probably the big one's anyway). Again, TW is a good example on how it can be done. I don't think creating a blood and gore DLC is all that complicated or expensive either. But then again I'm not an expert so it's probably useless to debate the subject. If they don't or can't do it, fine with me. At least they know it's a requested feature by a majority of the community.

Remember that one thread discussing strict parents who wouldn't buy this game in it's current state? Imagine any parent seeing gameplay of the hyperviolent gore DLC. And they will, the moment it launches that's probably most of what you'll see. RIP those sales. I can't see this DLC making much money at all to be honest, not next to other DLC with dinosaurs. It wouldn't be good for Frontier's image either, I imagine. All around, this DLC just wouldn't be worth making.

This seems better as a mod or a free update with gore settings than a paid dlc. I wouldn't like it if it was extremely gorey, but a little gore wouldn't be too bad.

What is funny is that we honestly no idea how much gore is or isn't in the game and people are g out over it it was stated that the blood has turned down for videos.

Really? Where was that? Was it on reddit by any chance? I'm not checking reddit. Either way I missed it. And I can only judge what I can see and there wasn't much blood in those videos.

I heard similar in Shawnasaurus Videos. But what he says is only guesswork!
Ive also been told that he is not a reliable source.
I will stay away from his videos. I prefer Bestinslot.

I wouldn't trust him. It was on reddit. I honestly can't remember if it was bo that confirmed it or BIS.

I would give Frontier $5 for a DLC that makes blood drip from the jaws of a Carnivore while it's eating a person or while eating ragged pieces of flesh/meat from another Dinosaur. I don't need to see guts or arms ripped off but some blood would be nice.

To be fair I have never seen that level of blood in the movies. Even when the T-Rex ate the goat in the first movie all you saw was a bloody leg hit the sun roof on the tour vehicle. Even during the Rex and raptor fight there was no blood. I don't remember seeing any blood in the Spinosaurus and Rex battle in JP3. Only time I remember seeing blood was when that one guy was lifted up out of that cave with the waterfall in front of it.

I think there should be a LITTLE more blood and gore, just JPOG levels of a lil bit of meat coming off when dinos eat each other and maybe a dark red patch on the carcass but nothing excessive. And of course the option to disable it if you don't want that.

Re: Universal. The movies have some pretty bloody moments.

Downloadable Content
Downloadable content (DLC) that will be appended to an existing, previously-rated product need only be submitted to ESRB for rating if its content exceeds that which is in the existing "core" product. Otherwise, the rating assigned to the core product is applicable to the DLC as well. Where, however, DLC content exceeds the rating assigned to the core product, it must be submitted to ESRB and a different rating may be associated with this DLC.

Well, that really says it all. A DLC can have it‘s own rating that doesn‘t affect the base game. Do it Frontier! I‘d gladly even pay for it!

Think there was blood in the Compy scene too if I remember right.

If I remember correctly there has been blood/gore in literally every single movie; including Jurassic World. The movies should be the guidelines for this game imo. I don't think realism and additional features should be sacrificed completely just for the mere reason of keeping the game family friendly. Its not a just a park simulator, its a JURASSIC PARK simulator. It should be expected to be violent since all of the movies are.

I think the DLC is a great idea! They can add it in a little while after launch and those who want it will be happy, and those who don't want it wont be bothered. I'm no developer but I would assume creating different blood designs/animations wouldn't be too difficult or time consuming to make. Frontier can make extra money for relatively little effort. I think it would be a win win?

And yes you can say Universal won't allow it, but as long as it doesn't push the game past a T rating I don't see why they would object? After all, I think its safe to assume Universal doesn't mind blood being in their movies, so why their games? I would guess as long as a blood type DLC put more money in their pocket without any detrimental affects they would approve it without hesitation.

So... Please Frontier! :D

Not much. Two Rexes ripped a guy in half in that movie and we didn't see any blood. Muldoon was attacked by a Raptor in JP and again no blood. That guy Hoskins or whatever his name is had his arm bit by a raptor and we so no blood. Just like with Muldoon the camera panned away during the rest of the attack and it was left up to the audience imagination.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see some blood. But JP/W is a franchise sanitized for children. Though I read the JP novel when I was just a kid, shortly after I saw the movie. I was maybe 9 years old then. The novel is far more graphic than the movie.

It was really ambiguous, that "blood" you could just as easily call mud and it wouldn't be wrong one way or another.

As some have said and, now really thinking about it, Jurassic Park never really had a lot of gore. I would not be opposed to it being in a DLC though, I even wish it was because it would be more realistic. (As realistic as a game about Dinosaur parks can be, I guess).

I've seen some arguments saying that it would be improper for children or some countries and they were well answared previously, the reality is that if it is a DLC with nothing else attached to it, you really have the option to buy or not to buy. A DLC does NOT change the rate of the original product because they are really two different products, in a legal sense. Maybe the ESRB, being a private organization, has a policy that differs but I really doubt that since they are mostly worried about keeping government away from our games and doing that which generates more profits for the companies who fund it.
