Got a viper, miss my eagle.

I went after an anaconda with the eagle. After that I just kept hunting SW. My max prey was cobra. Anything above that was a no go.

I take on any NPCs with my Eagle - even Asps/Anacondas. My weapons are 1 gimballed multi-cannon and 2 gimballed pulse lasers - but the firepower definitely feels too slow against Asps/Anacondas. I don't think I'm very good and I'm only using the TFlight HOTAS.

However, I've only seen another commander on two occasions since I moved away from the starter system. Each time I was attacked without warning by a Viper, and I was killed within a few seconds. No apparent reason, no communication, I had no bounties or cargo

I actually lost a pair of Asps the other day and got reset to zero. In all honesty, the Eagle really captures the thrill of the hunt. I've got mine decked with a pair of gimballed pulse lasers and a gimbaled beam up top With a KWS.

Runs a little hot on power with A class shields and thrusters but with the right power management, it's freaking gold.
