Got ganged up, blown up in Sol with 1000+ PP points to hand in…and it was awesome

Indeed. And good thing this chap had nice experience.

But he could have told of it without adding jabs towards those who do not share his view on what is fun.

That is what annoys me with this kind of thread.

This, totally this. Im with you in this point.

I think its a shadow thread to say open is the only mode that should be existing in the game.

Im happy with people who enjoy open, since i play in that mode the most, but im happy with people who enjoy solo too, and i like this mode exists. Thanks to that, elite dangerous can sell more copies, more copies is more money, and we all know what is the meaning of more money.

I was in my A-rated FAS....i just tried running once I saw it was three FDLs, thought it was safer considering the PP points I had to cash, by the time I realized that was a no go, it was kinda over. I was in my PvE rig, but I should have spun around and taken one or two out at least, im hanging my head in shame.

Given the FAS manoeuvrability advantage over the FDL spinning around and blazing past them might have been the better escape avenue, but I understand the panic that comes with being jumped by multiple silent hostiles. You don't really get the time to think rationally about the tactical situation, just run run run warp drive please.

Grats, its nice your enjoying yourself!

Myself though would not see what is Dangerous about having wasted some of my limited time which is why it's great there's more than one game mode, makes things win/win no matter what kind of gameplay you enjoy and are looking for.

Have a cookie.

Btw I have choco chip, peanut butter and raisin cookies which one do you prefer?

Cool Story Bro, +1 for not combat-logging.

PP-PVP is great fun. I would love to see other avenues of justifiable PVP crop up as well.

Not meant to be a bash on Solo play.....I solo a lot of the time, just not when bounty hunting or doing PP. I too have limited play time, so when im trading or smuggling, I escape to Solo, getting blown away after hours of work just cause someone wants to would equate to me not having a good time.

But you have to also admit that regardless of the moral stance players take on their interaction with other players, actual "griefing" nearly never happens (save mode invasion save wipe harassment) according to FD rules.

Sure, players can say that they "feel griefed" thus it's griefing, but they're usually cases that can easily be avoided or the complainer brought upon himself or herself.

I would rather see people that feel "griefed" come up with rational ideas instead of venting uselessly onto the forum that creates nothing but drama and extra work for the moderators.

I never thought about it this way before, but reading "feel griefed" just made me think about all those whiny college kids who "feel threatened" and "no longer feel safe" due to others expressing opinions disparate to their own. How all the special snowflakes are "in pain" because of all the "intimidation" without "trigger warnings" and "safe spaces."

Everyone just needs to start going out of their way to accommodate these people and grief them only at a time and manner they're comfortable with, obviously.

It would also be nice if people just stopped using the forum then? I mean if those that "feel" griefed should find other ways to deal then maybe those that "feel" that people should cope differently should follow their own advice when it comes to "feelings".

I mean unless they feel we should accommodate their "feelings" towards those that have "feelings" of being griefed....lol
