Government types

Heya!

Yesterday I was flying around in Eranin, and was a bit confused. It said 'independent' government type. How do I find out what kind of rules they have? Can I just shoot everyone I want, or only wanted ones etc.?

Typically if the government type is listed as "Anarchy", there is no overruling system in place, and anything goes.

For anything else, expect enforcement of laws from the ruling body, whichever they may be.

I think an independent system has their own form of government. Therefore they are not a member of the Federation or the Empire, etc. They do have "laws" I would imagine, and most likely a space police force of some type to enforce them. If you are looking for a little pirating action I would suggest heading to a system with Anarchy listed as its government type.

Independent allegiance means that the system has its own jurisdiction, and bounties in this system will not be present in any other system.

Government type is something else, and I think that it right now only really matters for how much piracy a system has.

Anarchy here just means that there's no ruling body for the entire system, anarchies can still have their own jurisdiction with bounties, etc. Systems with no allegiance at all will have no bounties, and they are either anarchies or empty.
