Newcomer / Intro Graphic: Shimmering lines

I love Elite but I cant find a way of getting ride of the shimmering horizontal or vertical lines.

I tried to change the graphics to low, tried all the AA possible, tried pushing supersampling at max, nothing works.
Outpost at far are very ugly (the lines keep moving) and I dont see why.

I have a NVIDIA Card Ge Force GTX 760.

Am I the only one seeing these lines move, even when my ship is docked?

What is your screen resolution? This game was built for 4K resolution. Below that, the graphics are "compressed" to fit the screen. I think that's the problem. I see it too, I play on 1600 x 900.

DSR is a new anti-aliasing method based on downsampling. It comes with its own downsides though.

The SSAA slider in E:D however has just the same effect and the same performance cost but allows for greater flexibility as far as resolutions are concerned.

If you find the SSAA makes your game run too slowly, you may also manually enter any value in the Custom.fxcfg file located in your C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics\ folder. Specifically, the entry you're looking for is the one between the <SSAAMultiplier> tags. I've set mine to 1.25, because unfortunately my card can't take much more. If you make changes to this file, don't forget to restart E:D if it was running while making said changes.
