Gratuitous Selfie Thread

Half way to Jaques, I decide to stop to stretch my legs, on a HMC planet which orbits a neutron star.

I'm just over half way to Jacques, and decided to take a diversion to see how far 'down' I could go: I got to 2,901 Ly before running out of stars. Decided to do a little prospecting on the moons of a gas giant while I was there. Firstly, one of a binary pair of moons, seen from the other.

Secondly, the gas giant seen from another moon, with the galactic core in the background.

Great balls of fire

BIG stars

The Wolf Rayet I'm sat beside is pretty big at 8.5 solar radii.

The other star is a giant B class star - and it's 15AU from my ship. Sol would be a point barely distinguishable from the background stars from that distance but this beauty has a radius 410.7 times bigger.

Screenshots from the final leg of my trip to Jaques.
First a booby trap. Can you see it?

The bright spot is actually a neutron star! I hadn't realised, and moved forward to begin scooping. Fortunately, the resulting emergency drop didn't do much damage.

A nice ringed water world, with nebula in the background

And the obligatory arrival at Jaques screenshot.
