Got to laugh - been jumping around trying to find where the unexplored systems start above the living bubble and couldn't find a single unexplored system.
The very first one I find and what's there?
A brand new Earth like
I'm only 906LY from Sol as well!
I think I'll drop back to the CG station before heading out again - I need to pick up some fuel drones anyway.

No chance of me being in open - no shields, no guns, paper thin hull. I couldn't out-fight an angry kitten right now.
First long trip with my new explorer. We come along quite nicely, and I only miss the Asp when I am scooping.
I am uploading this while I am SC'ing to another waterworld in the binary system, 200k Ls away. I will always spend the time to map out lifebearing worlds
Edit: and a good thing was that, since it was terraformable
..although how a planet completely covered with water can be terraformable, is beyond me..

OK, I'm really digging the look of that DBE in exploration shots.
This planet has sort of an onionhead smiley face on it.

Polar Exploration on a two tonne fuel tank, takes route clear, of brown dwarves on fast route to survey areas

In case of strong signal encounter, recon of forward base is for emergency repair + periodic upload of cartographics
