I've usually thought they reminded me more of the Space Slug's hole from SW: The Empire Strikes Back myself...
Maybe the planet is made of caramel cream, and got whacked with a marshmallow. It's possible!
Surly says it's possible - I ain't going to argue (will privately continue to doubt sanity though)
For whatever reason the quality doesn't look too good until you click on the thumbnails, but this is why Horizons has infected me with the exploration bug.

You don't really get a sense of scale from these stills, but the highest ridge visible in the first picture is the one I'm landed on in the second two. It's about 6km above the moon's surface, and so narrow that I nearly lost the SRV down the side when turning around to return to the ship.

A post-card from the Core...taken right next door to Sagittarius A*. As you'd expect, it's stupidly bright here and of course I left my sunglasses in the glove compartment of my Cutter.

Got a little nostalgic and broke out my first exploration ship again - she's not really Horizons compatible, sadly (SRV really trashes the range - hell, with this build, even the DSS and ADS do), and...
