"Great combat AI".

Its not a bug that the AI shoots you. Its a bug that so many players are used to a push over attitude from the previous AI.
As I have said before: I think a lot of people aren't really aware of what ships can do, and how fast they can really turn when applying a few tricks.

FAoff, reverse and directional trust op or down depending on desired direction will turn your ship fast and WILL give you an edge over one who does not know that simple trick.

You need to provide video evidence for that claim to have any merit. You 3000 hours played has no weight in this matter. Prove your claim!
Counter claim: Some humans are just not good enough pilots to realise what the ship they are flying can do.

Wow that's an intense bit. Here's a video and there's quite a few more in my channel. Be sure to critique me there too. I've had enough people compliment my skills to not need one person's input. But video you shall have. The video attests to my skills as a pilot. I'll post more if I feel like it. How's that for knowing what a ship can do?

I really don't have the time to watch you 30 minutes hiding behind asteroids. Your claim was that AI is cheating and mortenfischer asked you to provide video evidence. Instead you post a video of you killing an Anaconda in your Sidewinder. If anything this shows that are you wrong, doesn't it?

You admit to refusing to watch the video and claim its evidence to support your story.

I watched it. It does show the computer cheating. It also shows a lot of skill.

God you are insufferable.

You admit to refusing to watch the video and claim its evidence to support your story. Thats a whole different level of ignorant arrogance.

Since you saw the video, could you provide a few timestamps to where we should see the cheating? It would help a lot since (I suspect) there is quite the difference it what people perceive as a cheat.

Just saw some tidbits, a few comment:

Ramming is not cheating - everybody does it. Even you in the beginning.
Dropping anaconda shields with a (one) small beam laser takes time, and his capacity is larger than your weapons ability to sustain fire due to heat.

Finally: you actually kill the anaconda. In a sidewinder. Nice job.

I skipped through the video, didn't see a cheat. It would be easier if you could tell me which time and what cheat, so I know what I need to look for, otherwise I don't know what we are talking about.

PS
Ignorant arrogance... I love you too.

1730, 800-1200.

Mostly its a case of an anaconda being way too maneuverable, there is also some pips shenannigans at some point between those 2 time stamps. You can see it dancing about, and pivotting / accelerating pretty quick for something that big. Fair is fair; I cant objectively claim it was cheating 100% but it looks fishy af.

I m sure Droid can explain it better.

@babel sorry for the flame. I should be above that. Editted it out.

I wonder if only Anaconda endure this and is it only from Dropship variants? If so it's a bug. Will edit with my video once it's processed.

I don't think this is a bug, so much as the AI is broken by design. Even while everyone else was talking about mods and rapid fire bugs a few of us were commenting on the new AI behavior. They joust, they only joust, they never stop jousting they do not even try to do anything else. I think what's happening with this is that the AI now only knows how to turn its nose at you and fly directly toward your ship. You're backing your Anaconda up, but it's not fast enough to outpace the dropship in reverse, and the Dropship is too tough to be taken out quickly. So instead the AI simply continues to do what it knows, fly directly at you until it passes, and then turn at roughly 2 kilometers and go for another pass. Except, the anaconda has a lot of geometry to get caught on, and thus the drop ship never passes you.

Im sorry but I cant claim any cheats watching that.

As I have been saying, I think some players arent used to see what the ships are capable off. So when they see it - they are surprised.
As for the video (I was skipping as well) I never saw the sidewinder pilot switch on FA OFF to turn faster or strafe. Looking at the conda it would seem like it uses FA oFF quite a lot (as it should).

Its funny how some players expect the large ships to be Deathstars ... except when flown by the AI.
