Green Gas Giants, extended data sheet

Is there anyone near Pyroifoea SS-Y b15-0 who could confirm a GGG there? It's around 6,500 ly from the bubble. A person submitted it to the GEC, with a nice screenshot, but we don't have the body name visible on it.

It sure is a pretty one

Hello again, friends.

It's been a bit since the last GGG was discovered back in February! Hopefully it won't be like last year where there's a massive gap between discoveries. Anyway, I have been researching bugged protostars and the spreadsheet I made for that made me think of creating a new spreadsheet for sorting the existing Green Gas Giants. So, lo and behold, here is the link for Sorted GGGs, for your research or just your viewing pleasure. At the moment, I have them sorted by temperature ascending, their main star spectral class, and temperatures sorted by GG type. Take a gander, and let me know what ya think.

Looking at it now, besides that cluster @ 158K, I don't notice anything strange yet

Thanks for posting them here! The predictions didn't always turn out to be accurate, it's good to see that they can work.
Also, systems uploaded to EDSM, GGGs obvious on the system map, but discoverer didn't report them anywhere... Hrm.

Yep, both systems look to have been visited at least twice before me. First, the discoverer FSSed most of the main bodies but missed a couple and didn't bother with moons, then someone else did some of the moons later on. Second one, first person looks to have honked and jumped as just stars were tagged, then 2nd visitor FSSed all bodies - but neither GGG mapped so either skipped through fast or didn't realise significance of them. Makes me wonder how many others there might be in same situation... but I'm busy on an expedition now so I'll let someone else work on that :)

Ahoy mates

After another long 6 month break, we have yet another fresh Green Gas Giant to gaze upon (not including the one discovered earlier this month). And this time, an Ammonia-Based Life one: Ploi Thua AY-T b3-0 2, GGG #50 🎉

Was just randomly browsing the codex when I spy the Sanguineous Rim's astronomical body count at 80! I take a peek and voila, a new GGG discovered 8/23/23 by...

So whoever the heck that is, congrats!

Unfortunately, it orbits a lone M type dwarf some 2kls away, so it's not as brightly lit, but as a result it wields this beige-golden hue. And at this temperature, not that much green is visible. But there is! Barely.

There are five landable icy moons orbiting it, providing decent shots. Only if it had more green! Anyway, looks like its gonna mirror last year: A new GGG at the beginning of the year, then a massive gap through the spring and summer, then the new ones start to roll in around now. I know it's just dumb luck, and Marx can probably tell me exactly how many systems have been discovered since then, but still ! Always nice to see a new one.

I guess you'll be seeing me some time soon, to showcase the next one!

Hey all

New GGG reported very close to Colonia at Dryooe Flyou XS-Z c14-199. According to EDSM there is a carrier there already. It's a cold class I so it's not gonna look as visually intriguing as the others... Still, anyone nearby for confirmation?

GGG #51: Dryooe Flyou XS-Z c14-199 4

The new coldest GGG at 85.945335 K, previous was 90.141090 K.

Yeah... As to be expected. But I like that one spot in the middle... Which seems to be the only green on the entire planet.

There are sprinkles of pink scattered around the rest of the surface. And with the dark side being slightly lit by the background stars and rings, it more sells the illusion that the pink is truly "glowing":

Without the description, you would not believe me if I told you this was a GGG:

We have a few different names currently in this system, however.
FD on the star only is CMDR COUNTJRO
FD on all other bodies in the system is CMDR MELVIN CARTER
The carrier in the system, '42 WALLYBY WAY' TNG-27K is owned by CMDR HOCKALOOGY

So first discovery of this GGG technically belongs to Melvin Carter, and it was probably Hockaloogy that triggered the codex discovery alert this morning. I don't have a definitive date discovered, as EDSM shows that the data is old, and that I was the only traffic through this system, ever. Anyway, at least this one actually has some green this time! See you folks next time for the next one...

It's that time again!!!

New GGG in the codex for the Inner Orion Spur... which now stands at 87 bodies!
It's a Green Class II Gas Giant in BLU THUA IS-B C13-6, discovered by Jacob Astor. It looks fairly close to the bubble.
Anyone close to get some good shots?

(Also currently working on contacting them about it, I don't know if it has been turned in or not. If not, please don't steal it guys!)
